Re: Go outside and look at Venus right now...
Venus has been so bright and visible here in western WA since February. Hard to say what's going on, but I'm surprised more people don't mention it. I casually mention it all the time to people that Venus looks so amazing right now every night and they're like, "I haven't noticed". I guess a lot of people never look up at the stars and the celestial bodies!

It's still light here, I'm tired, and a storm is coming. Don't know if I'll be able to look.

I live in a small town in northern Ont. and it looks normal here. Very bright but that's normal. Venus is the brightest object in the night's sky after the moon.

Venus is the destroyer of worlds according to Emmanuel Velikovsky.

Near the end of World in Collision, he floated the possibility that it could go rogue again and wander the solar system threatening life on earth again like it did several times in the past.

Venus caused such things as Noah's flood and the plagues of Egypt in the time of Moses. Great destruction that almost wiped out all life occurred both times, and there was another one during the lifetime of Joshua.

SO BRIGHT! At first, I was actually more interested in the “objects” I noticed that were in close proximity to Venus. Especially considering I just figured it was, in fact, Venus. I grabbed my phone in hopes to zoom in on the smaller objects but upon doing so, well, this is what I saw. No one can tell me what this is! It’s incredible and an absolute mystery!!

I also think it’s just ridiculous how few people seem to be interested in what’s right above us! I could - and often do - spend hours star gazing and I always seem to see unexplainable phenomenon; it’s always absolutely fascinating to look up at space!
 Quoting: StellarBe

"Unexplainable phenomenon," as you call it (incidentally, it's phenomena) is merely your ignorance. I don't mean this in a mean or condescending way.

The "objects" in close proximity to Venus are stars, which make up the star cluster called The Pleiades (M45).

Venus is currently in conjunction with M45, as is the case every year. This year just happens to be an extra close conjunction which occurs every eight years.

Venus is always very bright, however by the 27th of this month it will be at its brightest for the year at a magnitude of -4.7.

Keep looking up and asking questions, but know that you can find most answers to your questions very easily in today's Age of Technology.

The ancients always watched Venus closely. They knew that bad times followed when they saw it doing strange things.

It's been in a stable orbit for 2500 years. But there's no guarantee it will stay that way.

It's Venus and the Pleiades star cluster...

Once every eight years, the Pleiades --also known as the Seven Sisters-- star cluster and Venus appear very close in the sky when in reality they are not. The Pleiades is an open star cluster located in the constellation Taurus. This cluster is the most obvious to the naked-eye in the night sky.

How to see:

Just after sunset, look west, about halfway up the sky. The brightest object by far will be Venus. As the sky gets darker, more of the fainter stars within the Pleiades cluster will become visible. You can see all of this with the naked-eye, but a pair of binoculars wouldn’t hurt. Skies Friday evening look to be mainly clear for viewing.

It's called twinkling. This occurs because of Earth's atmosphere bending the light (refraction) coming from the star before hitting your eyes.

I’m afraid you’re wrong but thanks for trying so very hard to make me seem ignorant. I thought the “phenomena” I was witnessing was the star cluster; however, it wasn’t until those objects started blinking on-and-off that I realized it was something else.

Sigh. I’m not seeing “twinkling stars” but it seems some of you want that to be the case so badly so I can be owned and scoffed at. Did you even bother to watch the video? My guess is no. Is that what Venus always looks like? No. I have watched and recorded Venus several times and it’s never looked like it does tonight.

I did watch your video. For starters, do yourself a favor and turn autofocus off. Also, you would benefit greatly from using an in-phone stabilizer if you're just holding your phone up to the sky. Of course a tripod would be ideal, but I know not everybody has one kicking around, especially with a smartphone attachment.

What do you mean by "is that what Venus always looks like?" Do you mean is that what Venus always looks like through a smartphone camera that's desperately trying to autofocus?

I didn't see anything in your video that was out of the ordinary, so perhaps you can enlighten me as to what specifically you're referring to? A timestamp, perhaps?

Possible explanation:

Check out the diagram in this video. The info starts at about the 1:15 mark and goes to about 2:00. The date and time are displayed at the bottom right corner. It shows comet Atlas being really close to Venus right now! Could it be somehow changing the way it looks?

One of the curious things Velikovsky found when researching the destructive comets of ancient times, was that terrible plagues always came with them. Diseases, strange insects, clouds of poison smoke, odd gasses, all kinds of stuff. Some of it actually rains down from the comets.

Venus was originally a comet, with a tail. Things came down out of that tail. Oil, the manna from heaven, disease. In addition it triggered earthquakes, strong winds, floods, tidal waves, meteorite storms(stars from heaven) and more. Venus eventually settled into the stable orbit it's in now and is no longer a threat.

But if you read the book of Revelation, all the same things Revelation predicts, mimic what happened the first three times Venus almost destroyed the earth. All the same stuff happens. Velikovsky ends the book by giving several examples of bodies in our own solar system who were known to have fallen into stable orbits for a time, only to leave them again.

Venus may be back again one day.

You can download it for free:

It's not a light read, every page is loaded with information. Overloaded you might even say. Reading it and keeping track of it all is hard work. You don't read it for pleasure. It's not enjoyable, but it's profoundly enlightening. Velikovsky answers questions you thought nobody knows the answers to.

Well worth the work involved.
