ive said it for a while to people i know - there is no private sector. they are nationalizing everything and the only jobs will be government jobs with private sector heavily controlled until it is gradually transitioned to being run completely by the state.

food shortages are coming. i live in the midwest and have seen how the farmers situation is running first hand. it is precarious at best. monoculture, bees are dying and no pollinators, the soil is addicted to chems, spare parts for ag machinery is hit and miss and will continue to be as this goes on, no seasonal ag workers from mexico from border shutdown, bad weather cant get out to plant, cant get out to harvest, water tiles plugged and soil erosion/dead spots.

dont let them fool you. there will be food until ONE DAY there isn't, and the whole sham will be shored up to keep up appearances and maintain order pacifying people and getting COG assets into place until that day.
