They have already proven that they don't even need an "army of contact tracers." Our cell phones are doing that for them. They just use the GPS data in our phones to determine where we've been and then they use the cell towers to ping others in our vicinity and track them as well.

Yes exactly this. Scary to think what they will do with this information.

One of the Detroit news papers the other day publish an article about cell phones keeping track of our whereabouts

It was such a happy upbeat article telling us how lucky we are that we have such technology

My husband's phone started giving him weird messages last weekend. Must have been an update to iphones. I think it's probably best to leave our phones at home if we have to go somewhere other than work.

I think so too

When Michigan went into lockdown my cell phone went off with the emergency alert but what’s strange is I have emergency alerts turned off

I’m also getting a ton of emails from places I’ve never visited but have talked about the last couple days if that makes any sense

Another oddity that I noticed, I have a doctor portal app so I can keep track of my test results

I tried to download the app to my phone the other day because I was going to do a virtual appointment with the doctor and the new app is actually the iPhone app that comes on our phones

It didn’t match the original app that I downloaded years ago so I started reading it and that’s when I learned Apple was linking to my old patient portal

If I had not been paying attention I would’ve just figured it was a new app design

Oh, kpm, that's scary about the patient portal. I do like accessing my lab results online, but I really do hate to think what some of these big tech companies can/will do with our data.

In my husband's case, he went to mow grass at our camp. When he got in the truck to drive home, his phone popped up with a message telling him that he would be home in so much time. He almost never uses any kind of map and/or directions app, so this was just out of the blue for him. It did something else too but I can't remember what it was right now.

They are definitely tracking us more than ever right now

I had my phone on my nightstand charging and it lit itself up like I touch the home button a few times all on its own

I deleted the Apple doctor app as soon as I read the disclaimer, they are so sneaky

this is an area for persons under investigation

Yeah, no.
In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

Ditch those damn phones! I know people are addicted to or rely on them but they are tool for spying and enslavement. Use them at your peril.

Just wrap your cell phone in aluminum foil. Poof you're off the network. The good part is, if you DO need it for something, you can always unwrap it... this way you can travel with a sense of security.
