Before you rip big pharma.....it saved my life. It took 32 years of a life altering chronic health problem, but now at the age of 50 I’ve been cured. I feel like I just graduated from college. Of course all of my degrees are stale, my experience is old, and the economy is destroyed, but this past fall and winter up until the first week in January was nice because I had hope for the first time in a long time. I’ve had times where I thought I was cured or in remission before, only to be disappointed, but I’m 100% positive this time.

It doesn’t come cheap. My Botox costs thousands of dollars a year - I get the shots every 3 months. And the biologic, which is just as crucial as the Botox, costs ~$700 a month, or at least that’s what it is priced. But my doctor is given so many samples that in practice they are free. I have months worth in my fridge. This is a new thing - I began Botox 3 years ago and the biologic 2 years ago. I was in the midst of a 3 year span where all of a sudden I was taking pain meds 2 or 3x a day. I had been doing well enough where that hadn’t been necessary, but then this 3 year stretch was brutal. Now I’m down to using them only once or twice a week and I’ve been able to dump the medical weed. This is just amazing to me. So as bad as big pharma is, every now and then there’s a success story like mine.

Bill Gates is funding new factories for 7 potential coronavirus vaccines, even though it will waste billions of dollars

On Thursday’s episode of “The Daily Show,” the Microsoft billionaire told the host Trevor Noah that his philanthropic organisation, the Gates Foundation, could mobilize faster than governments to fight the coronavirus outbreak.

“Because our foundation has such deep expertise in infectious diseases, we’ve thought about the epidemic, we did fund some things to be more prepared, like a vaccine effort,” Gates said. “Our early money can accelerate things.”

Gates said he was picking the top seven vaccine candidates and building manufacturing capacity for them. “Even though we’ll end up picking at most two of them, we’re going to fund factories for all seven, just so that we don’t waste time in serially saying, ‘OK, which vaccine works?’ and then building the factory,” he said.

Gates said that simultaneously testing and building manufacturing capacity is essential to the quick development of a vaccine, which Gates thinks could take about 18 months.
