Walmart store in WV with police

Does any one who's "clean" even shop at a Walmart

We turned into China now. WTF Lowe's was like that yesterday, but wasn't taking temps.

The walmart near me is the same way. Near Charlotte NC

My Walmart is in WV too, haven't been there in weeks but the local grocery store has reserved the first hour of the day for just people over 60. This is becoming common, even here in hillbillyland.

Any suggestions?

Someone posted on our little neighborhood blog (central NC) that the local Walmart is starting this kind of thing, and the person was innocently asking other people how long of a wait they experienced.

I thanked the poster for letting us know so we can avoid that store and any others doing the same.

All hell has broken loose on the thread, people wanting to know why I would say such a thing, boycotting stores that are trying to enforce social distancing and SAVE LIVES!

I just think it's draconian, boiling the frog. I have not responded to the comments. It shows my name and location, so I don't want to start any real fights.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions for a response from me? Or just stay out of it and let the sheep spin?

At a minimum the store may be limiting total people allowed inside at a time. The cop would be there to keep people from fighting in line.

Same at my local WM. Counting people, in one way, carts lined up etc.

Ran to Lowes earlier. They have one way in and one way out. Social distancing markers everywhere.
I wore my gloves and mask. Went and got what I needed and left.
Glad to see almost everyone wearing masks and a few gloves.

I will eventually need to hit Walmart, but I keep putting it off.

That is not how the cops handle shoplifters at Walmart. They are subtle. Or at least back in the day when i worked in walmart. There were ALWAYS cops at that Walmart, they did not bother most people (as in never approached them). So, most people never noticed them.

Who knows in Ultimate Clown World. That is Clown World + Corona + Walmart.

I'm not sure how to take this. Locally (Hampton Roads, Virginia), seeing a cop stationed outside of Walmart is commonplace. I've often wondered when police started providing security for Wally-world. Kind of pisses me off.

Good lord, so stop going there.

At least in my town people know when they're being played. Only 1 out of 390 people at my lowes had a mask on. Might have been your sister.

It absolutely is draconian.

What people are failing to realize is that these big chain stores like Walmart are not instituting these draconian policies because they are benevolent and care so much about the well-being of their customers OR their employees.

If Walmart truly cared about Americans, they would have put more effort into producing within our own economy over the past thirty years instead of turning their stores into warehouses for Chinese crap.

They're doing this shit protect their bottom line. Nothing more, nothing less.

The Walmart Marketplace in my town had the carts lined up too creating a walkway into the store. There was one employee standing just at the entrance, I stopped and asked if I could head in, he said yes. I read they're limiting the number of customers allowed in the store. I was searching for paper towels,online said they had limited stock but it was a lie, they had none. Went for nothing and was pissed. I am truly getting tired of this as I am sure everyone else is. I hope things improve soon but I guess it's still going to get worse before it gets better. Hang in there everyone!

People are not following the stay at home order or social distancing and the Gov. Justice said it is creating hot spots in some areas where the virus is spreading faster that the rest of the state. So he signed an executive order with more strict rules. The National Guard is going to help with logistics and the State and local police are going to handle "enforcement".

The Walmart here in Holland Mi, is also doing the one way in and one way out into the store. In the parking lot, the store has the same voice overplaying on the speakers outside as well as in the store that you've seen posted here previously.
When I got inside the store, there was a guy with an Ipad counting each person going in the store and out of the store. There were six-foot markers all over the place, especially by the check to mark the six feet distance between each person.
I was thinking about just going to Meijers from now on, but this type of thing is going to be all over the place by the end of the week.
It's weird and very disturbing to shop like this. Maybe it's time to just go online and get groceries delivered.

Nope. Not Southridge. The GameStop is beside Lowe's in the other plaza. No Goodwill either.

Folks chk your local hospitals they are empty and some are close to shutting down. This isnt about a virus.

our walmart in Maryland had police since last year... because of so much crime. They even stopped being open 24 hours, it was getting too expensive.

YEAH AGREED - PEOPLE STEAL SHIT, COPS COME THEN LEAVE.

They've had a cop outside our Walmart in Florida for about 2 weeks now. A lot of merchandise was walking out the front door, due to desperate unemployed people.
