Re: Bill Gates' family tree... well would you look at THAT!
The family tree stuff was not very compelling because many people can be related over 23 generations! How stupid.

The more salient issues are that Bill's mum is a FED Reserve board type. Long-standing banking power probably more entrenched that Prescott Bush.
His dad was a lawyer in a powerful firm. And yes he was a Planned Parenthood eugenics proponent.

David Rockefeller did have a great personal influence on Gates almost like his handpicked successor type thing.

I'm no computer wiz so that his bio didn't make sense to me, other than it seemed a papered over version of how he became Microsoft. Like his childhood buddy Paul Allen and he both from Seattle would wind up starting their business in Alberquerque. How, whah? Something about using BASIC on some pre-existing computers somewhere. I couldn't follow how or where BASIC came from that they could just superimpose it on any old mainframe they bought user time on.
His sketchy Harvard career. Not that he couldn't afford to go there, or have grades, but that they would just forgo his classes so that he could pursue his computer interest instead? Whatev he was a drop out because baddah boom badda bing, he's a billionaire Jed Clampett style.

I don't really believe ANY of these Bezos and Gates type tales of starting their business in the garage. I think they got selected to be the faces of and CEOs of a paradigm that had a wholly different sort of etymology.

Bill Gates was good at writing computer code in the late 1970s, but was even better at stealing other people's work, rebranding it and selling it at inflated prices.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77373529

The mouse, icon, graphical user interface and much more he and Jobs got from Xerox whose management did not know the value of all this. They let Jobs into PARC to see it all. Gates saw it and then stuck a deal with Jobs and pirated what Jobs had to create Windows beating Jobs/Appke on the release. Watch the movie Pirates of Silicon Valley
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77978086

Xerox publically demonstrated all that tech in the early 1970s. They even had a TV commercial at that time showing email, GUI, etc, in an office setting.

"whose management did not know the value of all this" My personal suspicion is that forces from the Military Industrial Complex prevented Xerox from putting this into the public sector, keeping it for themselves instead.

By the time they promoted MS Windows, the MIC would have been decades ahead of anything available to the public.

Just think, foir example, (if you were around in those days) how much time and effort were needed to get around such design blunders as the "640 KB boundary". All while the MIC continued to soar ahead.

If you go back far enough,

we all go back to one family

about 4,000 years ago.

If you want to make yourself sick, dig into what the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has been doing for a long time in Africa. Horrible.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77354840

I confess I never paid much attention to Africa through the years. I had a picture in my mind of black children in grass huts wearing American style Salvation Army clothes, plaid shirts and striped pants cut off into shorts.
Imagine my shock to see that in country after country their big cities are gleaming towers of glass and modernity that put Americas rotting corpses of capital cities to shame.

Yet on the outskirts is where their poor districts lie of shabby shacks and dirt track roads leading off into the countryside. This isn't African money that built this but foreigners from the great White way and China.

It's still one of the most exploited places on Earth.

I wish people would post the summary of videos along with the clip.

Some of us want to read. I read, and avoid videos as much as possible, as should everyone.

The dumbing down was completed when local news stations stopped writing copy and started posting only videos. I don't participate in that scam if I can help it.

Right now all of you need to READ "The Road" (not SEE the movie). It won a Pulitzer and for good reason. It breaks every rule of professional writing and keeps you riveted till the end. It's an easy read.

Stop hypnotizing yourselves. I got off TV and cable 20 years ago. Next is Pop videos on YT, my one visual addiction, since thats the number one place the elite imbed their messages.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16762662

So you want someone else to risk getting hypnotized and then spoon feed you? How is that even a thing? If EVERYONE was like that, where would we be? A picture is worth a thousand words.

I agree with what you say about the tranced out stupid fog that ppl live in.

Language shift, as a young person I was corrected for using "at" to end sentence. And the reasons where to end a sentence in preposition breaks grammar structure and it sounds redundant and stupid. So how did it become "normal", natural language evolution? No way, basic language structure doesn't change this way naturally. A structured effort is required to do this. Anyway this is an indicator of mass conditioning.

The designers and engineers at PARC were furious about the tour. They were told to show them and answer ?'s, some refused. You are right about Xerox/MIC ties of course. If you get to look inside the workings of Xerox you see a style of bureaucracy that is so fubar it can only be military. This is why they loose so much money. I worked with them enough to see there is no way they can be profitable so they must be a crazy big front for something.
