Most British people will do exactly what the government tells them to do.

They are possibly the most brainwashed and clueless people on the planet. I say that as a British citizen.

Be that as it may, I find this one hard to believe.

Unless people are dropping dead around you (they're not)....

What exactly do you find hard to believe?

1 - they would impose that order
2 - you whipper snappers would refrain follow suit willy nilly

Just reading the comments on things on the daily fail its painful to see. Theres so many that want people locked up, killed and so on. Even on the economic side of things so many think its game on as normal after this.

1. Nobody believed they would shut down the world overnight. They did it.

They are using this warning as a 'heads up', it is absolutely going to happen.

If they don't have the manpower to police the current regulations by imposing fines on people caught defying the rules, I wonder how they think they could police the imposition of a tighter ban on stepping outside?

I do think there's experimentation going on to see how much it takes to provoke proper civil unrest.

Police and government need to heavy-handed on this imho. Chump change fines aren't good enough. It's borderline genocidal mania. Reckless endangerment of your own life is one thing, putting mine at risk is another.

They would never tell the public that wearing a mask greatly reduce the risks of infection, however they would herass a person resting on the grass with no-one but 2 police officers risking his safety by being less than 2 m close.

They will also not tell that billions are poured into the intelligence services that failed to warn and prepare. China did not lock down a London sized city for nothing back in January. That was the time when they should have stockpile on masks and ppe, swap production to meet demand by local production and ensure food supply is available. This is because they either wanted the mess or they are simply incompetent. In the spirit of GLP will go with the first option.
