I was an AC for many years. It might have been my penchant for misspelling and the need for an edit button that drove me into the light of blue names.

That video will not go over well with flat earfers.

I've been coming to GLP for years...I found this site just before Bitcoin took off and I regret not listening to the early buyers.

I found GLP through a "conspiracy," search. I was looking for information on some subject that I don't remember.

Anyway, I found GLP and love the range of people and topics on this site. It's actually more informative than any news outlet, and I've missed it when I've been blocked.

I even like the Anonymous Cowards as I've been one myself. :)

Great thread!

Before Obama was elected I was heavy on Rush and Glenn Beck. I'd often laugh about being the only artist I knew who'd listen to Rush while I painted. But I was so disgusted and disillusioned by the election of BO that I gave up paying any attention at all. I stopped listening to talk radio and I literally banned my family members from turning on the news when I was around. I got a subscription to Audible and listened to countless books.

But in 2016, once Trump was running, and then especially after he was elected, my interest was piqued and I started paying attention again. I'd dropped by GLP a few times over the years, but really started following along around this time. It felt like maybe America was finally going to start winning the fight against socialism, and it didn't all seem so hopeless. I also think I've become better at accepting society for what it is without it really getting to me like it used to.

Aside from the political threads (and, really, it seems like most everything is political), I'm also a conspiracy junkie and like my news and information to be a bit adventurous. I also appreciate following along with disasters in real time, disseminating the news, and knowing what's going on way before anybody who only follows MSM does.

I don't think I'd bother with the internet much at all if not for GLP. Except to maybe renew my Audible subscription.

I joined this awesome forum in May 2009. I found you when I was doing a search trying to learn more about my lifetime secret crush, “BigFoot”. My grandmother (God rest her soul) told me about seeing a large, loud Sasquatch when she was Girl Scout on a camping trip in the Northern California Redwoods. This happened in the early 1900’s. My grandma was the kind of sweet, gentle, loving grandma that never ever lied or set out to harm anyone. I believed her when she shared her encounter with me when I was a teenager, back in the 80’s, and I’m still hoping to learn more about our bigfoot friends today.

One more thing. When I first signed up for an account here I got banned about a month in. It was the first time in my life I had ever been banned. I actually didn’t even know what it meant or why it happened. I was so worried and then super sad. Seriously, I cried. Haha. True story. I now understand a little more the way these things work, it’s not personal.

Atlantic Canada, recently signed up for a month to try it out/get around ip bans. Think I've lurked here sense losing everything in the dot com crash..so ya..awhile.
I'm a grounds keeper for rich assholes, and well versed in macroeconomics(self educated).
This place hauled me out of the matrix.
I well also say this site has likely cost me friends, likely to lose more over covid, and not because they'll dead. Crazy amount of fear, panic, frayed nerves and violence. Were all fucked. Thanks to GLP I at least know how I'm getting fucked.

I’ve been lurking since 2007, joined for a while, then sorta kinda got weary of the argument trolls.
I miss my old buddies here - haven’t seen many posters from the good old days. But I’ve never stopped checking in.
