I’m starting to agree. They keep saying this coming week will be the worst but I don’t see how that’s possible if we have all been locked down for 3 weeks. I believe it might have been equal to a very severe flu season if we road it out.

It seems to me, the more people they test, the more people they find that have it but are unaffected by it.
That's why they only are testing over 65 sick people who might die any minuite. To keep death count high as possible.
Perhaps we all have injested virus by now and our bodies have felt with it.

Let me explain:

There are 330k known cases in the United States
and ~9400 deaths.
There are only ~17k recovered cases
This leaves ~313k active cases

if 3% of active cases that are already diagnosed die - that would be 9k more deaths.

There are 34k new cases every day. We are still doubling with only the very slightest sign of slowing. (So slight that almost nobody is talking about it)

The new cases represent 1k dead per day - multiply that by at least 30 days = 30k dead.


9400 existing deaths
~9000 new deaths from backlog
30000 new deaths from new cases over 30 days

- that gets to 48,000 dead in the next 30 days alone.

By that time the peak will have flattened but we will still have a smaller number of cases which will run to the end of the year.

My personal projection is that we will have 80-120k dead by end-of-year; I don't think it will be 245K. But that is WITH all of the measures we have already taken. No school, no amusement parks, no concerts and events. Can you imagine if we didn't do all of this?

And what I am NOT calculating for is a WAVE 2; The Spanish Flu had 3 waves. The first wave was 'mild' by comparison. The second wave was severe and the third wave was moderate.

Imagine if we get a second wave; in the Spanish Flu that is what took out millions.
