The Federal Reserve bank, which is not an actual government entity but a private bank, creates it out of thin air and loans it out to our government and other private banks at interest.

if it was balanced, evenly and fairly distributed - then there would be no need for the word wealth.

You need to define it for yourself, that's critical, then go from there. For me, wealth is anything produced above and beyond what is necessary to survive.

So for a farmer say 100 years ago, if he had a bumper crop and could store a silo full of grain more than his family could eat that is wealth. Of course the grain could spoil in time, so money was invented, gold and silver which then became a store of wealth because you could trade things for gold or silver coins.

Essentially, this means that savings are wealth. In today's complex economy it's difficult to see how a person's production can sustain them and production above survival is stored wealth. Each person is like a cog in a wheel, part of the process.

But I think idea remains, savings are wealth. Money is a means of exchange and a store of wealth. Currency (created from debt) isn't money it is only a means of exchange because over time it's value is diluted by ever increasing amounts of debt.

Wealth comes from the manipulation of power.

Not that it's bad though. Otherwise all wealth is just paper representation of gold, then you're locked into a bitcoin-like economy (where you have to literally mine to make more money).

Real money is backed up by something that is useful.

Joe average makes a chair and creates a monetary note. That note can be traded around until someone turns it in for the chair. The value of the note depends on those trading it. Real money disappears when the transaction is finalized.

Gold/oil isn't the only thing money should be backed by, that's what they want you believe.

He who controls natural resources, controls fiat wealth. Money is nothing without wood, metals, and land. All of which are produced naturally, so take control of free earthly resources (usually via violence), and then sell it to the masses

Labor. Labor has value. You labor to do or you labor to create. Money is a method to store the value of labor earned to be used later. There are some really interesting documentaries on how money works on Ithica, NY. The community created their monetary system to encourage doing business locally.

The really good documentary I watched a while back might have been the pbs special. I’m not sure. It was aired as part of a telecourse for a college Econ class. I wasn’t in the class, but I’m interested in such things.

All money is issued as debt. Wealth is gaining and converting some of the debt circulating in the economy and turning it into property, land etc.
Through the insidious mechanism known as interest (I need a profit or I'm not interested) all the wealth is gathered with a few clever bastards.
The whole thing is set up and rigged by those who have set themselves up as the money printers. They own huge chunks of the world and are ruthless, powerful and under the control of a dark religious cult.
Without this tiny group of humans manipulating human affairs, creating wars etc., humanity might be far more enlightened and wealth a norm.

I's created by central banks and governments allowing banks with fractional banking to create it out of thin air. (Well, actually, it's created based on debt; so WORSE then thin air, in some respects)

Value, is something else. A tree good for lumber has value. A shell that people want to use as an ornament, has value. Someone trading ears of corn for some of my tomatoes, has value.

Wealth comes from the creation of value. Value is created through providing a tangible asset or service whose perceived value to a market is greater than the cost of producing the value. Wealth is transferred and accumulated based on value creation and exchange. In capitalist society, this is the way it is supposed to work.

Wealth comes from the ground.
