Whether it's fake or not, I can imagine this kind of thing happening. None of your family is allowed in with you. People are hysterical over this virus and willing to do anything in the name of the common good.

Having dealt with patients such as these, I can tell you that they are a significant threat to hospital staff. They should allow him to leave and put him in isolation—enforced. They are a clear and present danger to everyone’s survival, until they comply or are medicated and treated. This is so sad.

I’m not championing the medical staff or enforcement one bit.This should have been handled much better.

But this man shouldn’t have called an ambulance if he didn’t expect treatment. You’re basically signaling that you’re unfit to treat yourself, and are accepting hospital treatment.

Also, I have no sympathy for how he acted. None of his responses were direct, and most importantly, he glamorized him being detained. One moment he was being choked, then he was crying, then he talked like he was normal, calling the workers weak.

He was putting on a front for the camera. You don’t do this without an agenda. Every time these jokers feign being attacked, it weakens the instances of actual confrontation. Boy who cried wolf, anyone?

Man should have spoken few words and not dramatize everything. When told he’s not under arrest, should have simply stated “then I will grab my things and make my way to the front counter, and leave peacefully”. His unruly demeanor is only giving the medical staff proof that he is unfit to make reasonable decisions on his own.

As for the medical staff, no idea why they would want to inject him with anything.. That sounds way too far fetched, and is not a part of being tested..

just a point, if there was a 2 physician determination that he did not have capacity to make medical decisions, then the patient may loose the ability to dictate treatment.

Then, you could be coerced/forced into surgery under the right situation.

Also, depending on public health, if you are a public health risk, have bacterial meningitis (certain type), tuberculosis, you can be forced back into quarantine. Why would it be different for coronavirus. If you were the doctor or hospital to released the superspreader - you are done.
