Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75900572 so he starts calling me an asshole for being skeptical and says to hang on while he goes and gets his paperwork - for all i know he is coming back with a weapon. i was armed, as always. but decided against sticking around, this guy was clearly pissed at me for not just coughing up money. i dont have a dog because they cost MONEY - now these entitled bums all around think people will just roll over and cough it up. the sucky thing is i took the long way around to park at home, since this burger joint is literally just 2 blocks or so away, so if im real lucky this dude might somehow stumble on me and there's gonna be problems. my first mistake was evening talking to him at all. absolutely ridiculous the level of entitlement of these bums. this is why i dont help homeless people. such crappy attitudes it is ridiculous. dude had money for food, he just wanted better food. cry me a river. I care not one whit about that guy, not even a dust mote. I am worried about the dog though. I really really hope that dog is okay... ~~*NOT* a very nice kitty!~~ "Plan for the worst, hope for the best, and don't live in fear." |

I really really hope that dog is okay... pretty much. thats why i didnt stick around, after he called me an asshole for no reason i said to hell with this im gonna go home. the dog looked okay i didnt check it too much, had a collar on, looked like a white off white lab of some sort, wasnt underfed which is why i asked very direct questions on why he was panhandling when he obviously could feed a dog. |

Yeah bad situation, but as others said, just shut him down hard and fast, no small talk. You didn't invite his begging, so he's already being pushy right off the bat. "Hey man, got any spare..." "Sorry, can't help you." or just shake your head "no" and stay silent. Don't ask details about his life, who cares? He might think you're passing judgement or giving him a hard time. He's a beggar and you don't have time for that shit, simple. People gotta figure out stuff for themselves these days. Rough times ahead for all. |

I agree having a dependent when you are not capable of independence alone is a tough pill. I think that trying to educate him on his predicament was probably always going to be fruitless, regardless. |

It's my hope that the CV cleanses our society of such parasitic worthless irresponsible scum. If we don't shed all this dead weight our society will surly collapse if that isn't inevitable at this point anyway. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 28925333 United States 04/06/2020 03:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't believe most of these types. We get a ton of vagrants around here and they've usually spent all their money on meth and are looking for more. I've had them get aggressive with me at gas stations while filling my car and I will dial 911 right in front of them and start giving the operator a description of who they're looking for. They pretty much always high tail it out of there as soon as they realize that I'm on the phone with a dispatcher. |
