Stimulus Checks Run Into Major Problem – It Turns Out Some Americans Might Not Get Them Until August

Social Security recipients for the most part have their automatic deposit info on file with the government.

Considering the databases they have created on everyone, there should be problem using the seniors SS info instead of any IRS returns.

How bout they use all the funds they are putting into the stock market.

What’s the point of even sending them then? I have a friend that was just turned down this morning after submitting it late Saturday night. She got an email at 7:00 am this morning. No way they would of had time to review it. It’s all bullshit. And wtf is $1200 going to do if you no longer have a job.....

It literally fucking means, go to the website and enter direct deposit info instead of waiting months for a check like a pleb. You can literally open a prepaid card and have it direct deposited.

Thats for paper soc sec retirees , ssi, n ssdi disability ppl. Those who dont file n still get paper chx

I’m happy to wait till August for a paper check I can simply cash and not disclose my banking info. If they want it, they can spend the time and money to look for it. I’m not handing it to them on a silver platter.

There was a law made that said you have to get ss by direct deposit. They said no more checks because people steal them.

Doesn't matter who's in charge. government FAILS at whatever it is tasked to do regardless. Do you think the country's best and brightest go to work for the government? No. People go to work for the government so they don't have to do much, aren't expected to do much and get nice benefits and a pension. Those are the people you are relying on in an emergency. So far I haven't seen a portal where you can add your direct deposit information. I filed without bank info on mine because i wasn't getting a return, nor did I owe taxes.

They need to create that portal soon for a lot of people.

I don't use paypal but would gladly set up a new account for you to send me yours.

And really...that goes for anyone here that doesn't want theirs too.
