The funny thing about inflation is that for each 'new bulk of money' that enters the system, almost all of it will go back to the original owners (those who made it and put it on the system), virtually freezing it. So there is more money on the system but the regular people has no access to it, ever!

you can make money gain (paper) in gold the same way you do in stocks...buy low, sell high..but holding GOLD is the best way to KEEP what you have.

I've argued this point for years, stating, "If your dentist works on your teeth for an hour and your gardener works on your yard for an hour and your accountant works on your taxes for an hour, it's all an hour's worth of labor, all varying in degrees of how physically, mentally or whatever terms of challenging and labor intensive it is. well, technically the premise is correct..if you bought gold at 360 DOLLARS last year and sold it today for 704 dollars per ounce, you would have a net DOLLAR profit of 344 DOLLARS per ounce...you would now have 704 DOLLARS instead of 360 DOLLARS but the dollar is worth about 78 cents (more or less) today...all you have to do to compare that is to check the currency values...if I wanted to sell my gold today what I would buy is EUROS:) see, the price of gold is the price of gold no matter what currency it is in..so I'd buy EUROS they're worth more:)

Gold will always have it's own value...what confuses people is using paper money to buy a value of gold when that paper money is basically worthless...the price of gold rising is directly related to the value of the paper shit you could buy it with.
