What's The Best Rock Concert You've Ever Seen?

Foreigner opened for Doobie Brothers at Missouri State arena April 1977 with all of their top 40 top 10 amazing hits one after another it was great

there probably has been but since corporate radio took over we will never hear them ...plus back in the day radio was a communal experience all across the city we listened to same songs at the same time...now its earpods and spotify. Hits songs are what we are told are hit songs by the corporate execs and the only choices we get are the one from their own record label of autotuned political hacks.

Bandcamp has a lot great music but no one knows where to find it since you have to sift thru all the badly recorded bedroom crap ...that was the job talent scouts back in the day..to find those bands that were worthy of the investment...they were the gatekeepers...the local stations got call ins from the kids and played it and if it took off locally then the talent scouts made sure it made it out nationally...that doesnt happen now.

Metallica - Guns and Roses 1992 at "The Murph" in San Diego with me 2 buddies and 4 strippers ... The stage banner caught fire in the middle of "Fight Fire With Fire" ... Band didn't miss a beat !! Good times !!

A smaller show, but the best. Six Feet Under at the Tremont in Charlotte.

I went to that concert in Cleveland that year and I think it damaged my ears. They rang for about a week and I wasn’t even close to the stage.

U2 Zoo TV tour - 4 shows Sheffield, Cologne, Leeds, Dublin - seen them a gazillion times since all over the world - but that tour was off the charts good.

I saw Dio in 1990 at the Lakeland Civic Center. Great show. Man, that guy had some lungs!
