It's not too hard to be responsible with your money and not get into debt.

It's NOT easy to get out of it.

I was responsible most of my life with money, then got laid off and put living expenses on the card. When I was employed again I did my best to pay it off, but you got so used to living off the card before I knew it I was in debt again, and BIG.

I don't think people know what it feels like to be hit with multiple $300 minimum payments and the late fees and interest keep accumulating and you're robbing peter to pay paul. Eventually you reach the point it's impossible to pay it back and you have no choice but bankruptcy or selling your ass on the street.

And let me tell you, this is what credit card companies WANT. You can call me irresponsible all you like but that is irresponsibility to me and me only and maybe society as a whole, but the CC companies are happy, they've already well made more off me than they loaned out over the years and if I up and stop paying them, they will just charge the debt off and sell it to a 3rd party collector to hound you for years or take me to court. So toss stones at me all you like but no one is getting hurt except me.

Trust me, they.never.lose. They are worse than mobster loan sharks. And if they DO experience losses on any customers (which is rare) they just write it off on their taxes in the end.

As an ex-landlady there's a reason rental agreements are in fine print.

The lease papers we had renters sign gave us several loop holes.
One example is if a property owner wishes to renovate or upgrade an apartment the tenant is given a 30 day move out notice no matter how long the lease is for.

Let's you get rid of bad, scummy, or nonpaying people in 30 days. Sheriff comes while they pack and leave.
Locks are changed.

Even if people just don't pay rent and we caught the apartment vacant we would quickly change the locks and hold their possessions until they handed us money. Followed by a regular eviction usually.

The one's not paying rent even after their stimulus check are in for a bad time.
Landlords know most people will get stimulus cash.

The bank will own it all and them everyone gets to sleep outside!

So it's fun to you to watch people that have made you rich off of them, who were the ones that had to literally WORK to pay you the majority of their money every month?

I am sure many of these people in the 75% range were forced to not come into work which means... you guessed it, no paycheck. Now, they are forced to chose between paying a portion of their rent with what little money they have from their last check, or buy food.

Never, remember 2008? Well, its easier to kick an entire family out than they lower prices. In order for them to lower rent prices, a whole chain of services and products also have to lower theirs. Since this is something that will not happen overnight, better not count on that
