KILLING SMALL BUSINESSES: "Computer issues" at SBA delay small business loans

People who are self employed and are able to work are applying for this. Another form of fraud happening here.

the gov already has every business payroll info - if they really wanted get this into business hands they could have just sent a check based on payroll

348 billion available to over 30 million small business in usa = approx $10,000 each

a bank sends out couple million to a business with 400 employees who most likely has political or other connections and how many other small business with only a few employees will not get anything? there is only a small amount to spread around

To shut down an economy and a nation because of a contagion where over 90% who get infected show mild symptoms and most develop an immunity, is an overkill.

So why overkill and what is gained? What is gained can be gauged by one example. When a thriving business with a bright future is forced to shut down by government decree then it goes belly up for no action of its own.

The bank takes possession of this business and sells it at pennies on the dollar to those who now buy this business when they could not get it any other way.
Multiplying this example across the nation translates to trillions of dollars being transferred to that 1%

I don't think that it will be that easy to do, but a few may slip through the cranks. It has to be a legitimate business operations. Loans are based on previous tax fillings and other criteria. I worked for the SBA disaster relief department, all application are extensively scrutinized and many loans are reject for various reasons. If for any reason someone is found trying to defraud the government there are penalties, such as fines and imprisonment.

These SBA loans are specifically tied to keeping your workers paid (e.g. payroll) on a basis/term in which they were previously being paid.

I've been applying for these loans so my business can stay afloat and keep all my guys on payroll.

Every bank in this nation keeps tabs of far more loan and deposit accounts than the SBA does. The SBA has been given TENS OF MILLIONS to upgrade their computer systems more than once. Yet, when there is a crisis, and they have been given Trillions of Dollars by Congress - the incompetent bastards cannot manage to process loan and grant applications and get the cash into the hands of the very taxpayers who've paid their salaries for decades.

The SBA is, no surprise here, run by two Trump Appointees who have no background in the financial industry and who obviously do not know what the fuck they're doing - par usual for a Trump Appointee.

This is why when we "give" business etc "our" money for them to "give" back to "us". It should be done only with preeminent conditions on their behaviors.

Like "sure we will bail you out Boeing but you are going to have to honor overtime laws, bump up employee sick leave, cap executive salaries, and lower employer paid portions of benefits for X years. Failure to do so will result in criminal prosecution of your board members at any time these are failed to be upheld...

It is not "quite" the same with these SBA loans but in similar ilk it should be done.

Basically WE THE PEOPLE had the bankers by the balls in 08 but we were too scared to realize it.

I keep praying for all the small business owners and families out there. I am hoping they are learning to do more with less and find some moments of peace in all of this. IF we can get through this, my hope is that it was of some reason... that reason being we are made stronger and wiser because of it.
