Fuck the hospitals! I hope they all go broke. All they do is bilk the insurance companies for payments so they can give the uninsured care. I had enough of that shit!

I was billed $1500 from my insurance company (total hospital bill was $4500 without dr association and nurse association costs) for 4 hours in the ER over a sciatic nerve, when it could have been treated in 1 hour. I got 1 shot and 3 x-rays.

That system needs to collapse when covered people have to pay for uncovered people. That's a fucked up system and business model.

6350.00 for a 2 hour visit to an er...i paid 250...did not get a answer to the problem ..luckily it went away on its own. Still dont know what happened...except someone spent 6k on not answering my question

Yep. $980 for a 30-minute ER visit with one of my kids, and they did nothing. I paid $189 of that.

A guy I work with was having a heart attack. Spent a day in the ICU, got on stent inserted, and was billed for $10K. He found out a few months later that stents aren't all that they made them out to be. Fuck the medical industry!

Cost me $1.2million to get 4 robotic surgeries, 12 doses of a Platinum based chemo, and 36 radiation treatments to go along with all the scans, tests, and appointments over a two year period.

Even a 90/10 medical plan doesn't look that good with those kind of numbers.

These poor bastards that are in the ICU are being billed between $12-$18,000 per day. Thats around $20,000 out of pocket for a week on your 80/20 Obamacare plan.

Well, you need to have signed something agreeing to pay. Else it's just a bill. I can send you a bill for something too.

Cost me $175 and two weeks of total rest and no work to get over what was probably CV-19. Went to our remote clinic a month ago on a Sunday and was told I had pneumonia, bronchitis, and the flu. The Dr. said if I was at the hospital they would want to take x-rays of my lungs, and that I should go to the hospital the next day to get them. If they did take the X-rays I'm sure they would have wanted to put me in the hospital with the way I felt.

Anyway, it was $150 for the office visit, and $25 for the antibiotics to cover the pneumonia and bronchitis. (Retail was $100 for the antibiotics but the pharmacist found an online coupon for me since I was paying cash)

Damn glad I didn't go back to the hospital to be put in one of their rooms at those ridiculous prices.

A settlement will drastically reduce that..and for what it's worth FICO score a are not nearly as affected by medical debt as they used to be...

Nonetheless I have not let medical insurance lapse through this pandemic..could be the difference between life and death.

You are so right. I have insurance but still won't go to the doctor because I can't afford the deductible and copay. If I get the virus, I'll deal with it myself as I don't want to live and end up paying a hospital bill for the rest of my life. This while people on Medicaid walk in and get it all for free. Yes, hospitals are a ripoff, who says the uninsured and illegals are not covered, private insurance and Medicare are being tremendously riped off to cover their treatment !
