siren2 siren2 IF YOU NEED NOAA WEATHER RADIO STREAMS FOR YOUR LOCAL AREA:
[link to www.planoweather.com] siren2 siren2

SPC already calling for a severe weather outbreak in the Deep South from East Texas all the way East to Georgia.

FIDDY PER CENT RULE, B:
[link to www.spc.noaa.gov (secure)]

"...THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FOR
CENTRAL/NORTHERN LOUISIANA...SOUTHEAST
ARKANSAS...MISSISSIPPI...WESTERN/CENTRAL ALABAMA...

...SUMMARY...
An outbreak of severe thunderstorms appears likely Sunday into
Sunday night, with the greatest threat expected from Louisiana
east-northeastward through much of the Southeast and Tennessee
Valley. Strong, long-tracked tornadoes and potentially widespread
damaging wind are possible.

... SYNOPSIS...
The ejecting shortwave trough initially over the southern High
Plains Sunday morning is forecast to move quickly eastward and then
northeastward through the period, as it moves around the periphery
of a deepening longwave trough over the central CONUS. As this
occurs, a surface low will move eastward to the Mississippi Valley
by Sunday afternoon, and then rapidly deepen and move northeastward
into the lower Great Lakes by Monday morning. Very strong mass
response will draw rich low-level moisture northward into portions
of the Southeast. "

Yup and they have a slight risk of severe all the way up to the lower Ohio Valley! Being a tornado survivor years ago I highly suggest thank OP for posting this and pay attention to what the weather folks/NWS are saying!

North Texas is forecasted or rather scheduled to get one heck alot of severe weather tomorrow, tomorrow night, and into Sunday morning, OP. I have been feeling and hearing distant thunder time to time for days now... Feeling the presence of extremely powerful severe storms overhead and nearby is unsettling when it is sunny out as of this post.

Yeah really!! I think it was June or July of last year a F0 tornado hit my town. It completely devastated my town's City level Internet infrastructure. GEUS's ability to deliver reliable Internet at my local library was immediately damaged. Over the months the damages turned out to be progressive. By the time November and December rolled around last year the wifi and LAN both became so unreliable that it was effectively marked as "Unavailable".

The best thing about this forecast is that weather forecaster here for about a year now have been hideously wrong.

But like a blind squirrel, they stumble across a nut now and then, so we do need to be prepared and take precautions.

We get a few of these every year.

I had some serious tornado damage to my house about 10 years ago, and there have been maybe 3 tornadoes through this area since.

Just comes with the geography.

Man! If I saw a tornado outbreak like that I am pretty sure that city or town unfortunate enough to bear that severe storm would be literally blown off the face of the Earth. "No need to send the National Guard to there... there are no survivors to protect!".

Damn, well it's a rite of spring for us....twister season.

Seems like NC twisters only hit at night for some reason.

Hope all in affected areas ride the storms out ok.

And FFS please someone brighten our day by reporting a house landing on Pelosi or Killery.

 Quoting: Southern Deplorable

I know some years back, Southern Deplorable, for two or so Springs in a row a series of evil winds would blow through here in North Texas. Just on top of my town or a County or two to our east a line of severe storms would begin to develop. Not much would happen for us weather wise beyond seeing such beautiful severe weather rapidly move to the East. Usually by morning much of the South especially Deep South would be hit by a "wall of huge tornadoes". Many towns literally blown off the face of the Earth and many cities decimated. The MSM rarely reported on that stuff. What little they did report belittled every victim in rather disparaging fashions.

Yeah. I have seen the NWS upgrade their severe weather portions over the years over my area from Slight to all the way to Severe/Extreme. Usually within a twenty four hour span. The Severe and Extreme portions being rare, but has been happening more often not just here in North Texas, but over huge swaths of Tornado Alley.
