You have to love the irony of people shelling out 5s and 10s of million for a Manhattan apartment only to have to abandon it.

This is going to destroy Manhattan prices. Watching your apartment turn into a prison is going to ruin it for many.
There are going to be a lot of people that will never again accept living in a shared space with no yard.
