If you think that it's stressed now then wait until millions of people get their stimulus checks this week, I'm going to two stores today and topping off my preps and my gas tank.

I just got back and The Local Walmart was 60% stocked, the local Harps was 50% stocked, both were rationing paper products and basic long shelf life items, the stocker told me that they get picked clean everyday by noon and are bracing for the wave of people they expect when the checks start coming in. Do you think all of the new "control" measure at the grocery stores are a preparation for this expected rush? Reduced hours, limited access, marks on the floor telling you where to stand, one way traffic...the timing seems about right. I expect panic buying leading to food riots, when the supply chain breaks down and people can't buy food even if they have money or an EBT card, a lot of people won't understand because they have no clue where their food comes from, and they will be mad and looking for someone to blame (other than themselves for not being aware)they will look at all of the food and think why can't I buy all I want.
