Is the Food Chain the Canary in the coal mine?

Food Chain, it made my brain hurt to work this backwards and then forwards...I probably missed things, but here it is:

The Farmer, is he well enough to plant/harvest?
Does he have all the machinery, equipment, in working order.
Does he have the seeds, the fertilizer, weed control, etc.
Crops have been harvested, are there Trucks/Truckers available to take to markets?

The Rancher, is he well enough to tend to livestock?
Does he have enough food, etc. for livestock?
Are there trucks/truckers to take livestock to processors?

Processors, are they open? Do they have the workforce they need?
Processors also need supplies to process and package the meats/ chicken/ other finished products. Are those supplies available, has that workforce been let go furloughed?

Semi Prepared Foods, Canned foods, boxed food goods, baked goods all would have similar, although not identical concerns.

Every aspect of the food chain relies upon so many other businesses.
Producers, supplies, transportation.
Workers, workforce at every step.
Transportation in between every step.
This can be said of almost any industry.

No idea what goes into Toilet Paper start to finish to market, if anyone wants to do that one!
Its not food but, apparently critical.
