Re: WHY Are ALL the BIGGEST Observatories SHUT DOWN?
Maybe, but didn’t it seem like there was more than just that?

There was something very creepy about the way things were being handled & I seem to recall the local law enforcement wasn’t happy they weren’t being told what it was about.

All very strange! Did the one in Hawaii get taken down around the same time? I seem to recall they posted some generic message or something. But I didn’t hear about federal authorities swooping in on them.

In Chile We have the best and the biggest telescope humanity has, completely isolated like Tololo and many many others in Chile, The telescopes themselves work through computer terminals...no damn reason to close them

they covered it all up by saying it was child porn.
once phased array got adjusted, they were allowed back on top the mountain.
go look at the images of staff, they were all dying.the sunken eyes proves it.

Wow, really? I hadn’t heard about this, that is freaky!

Right, I was remembering the cover story you mentioned, it was such obvious BS! Not a convincing cover story, for sure.

This is interesting.

My guess is that we are entering a debris field that will make 90% or more of Earth look like Dresden in February, 1945.

By the time the not he'd and bungled figure out what is going on, the power will be out.

Lots of professionals and amateur astronomers have their own pretty great equipment. Observatories closed because no public attending plus not essential services.

But there are plenty of people still studying.

Astro, your thoughts?

I don't see these guys shutting down. [link to www.vovatt.org (secure)]

But they never allow public visitors anyway so there's no reason for them to shut down.

Ok this is very worrying. NASA has seen something but doesn't want us to know or others to see it. This could be the end.

why did they shut down sun spot yeear ago?

why shut down mauna kea?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78658574

There was something REALLY strange about that whole situation at Sun Spot. I have continued to wonder about that. Nothing out out there to supposedly explain it ever made sense.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78710561

some one who worked there must have been disappeared after that
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78658574

Did you have any theories on what that was all about? The reaction was extreme and bizarre. Then, last I heard, there was some lame excuse about a janitor or night security guy having something bad on his computer. Yeah, right... so shutter the town? Come on.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78710561

The only theory that made any sense was something about infiltration by China.

some one saw something "out there"
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78658574

The head of the Vatican observatory has said for years they are observing a fleet coming our way. The installed a infrared technology to observe it better. Tom horn has a video where he interviews the guys working there. Funny note. The Vatican observatory is on Indian sacred land where they claim bad juju coming into our world from the heavens.

All this info is out there, just obfuscated with a lot of nonsense.

 Quoting: Saturn12

By contrast, the Surgeon General, regrettably selected by Trump for the position, said late last week that this week would be this generation's Pearl Harbor or 9-11. Huh?

It's now Saturday, so the week is mostly over.

Nope, so far no Pearl Harbor or 9-11 - version 2020 - that I'm aware of.

Covid-19 currently is too drawn-out and ambiguous to be in the "OMG! Holy Fuck!" category.

There's still the rest of Saturday and tomorrow Sunday to finish left in the week.

But a combo of Nothingburgers and the GLP Effect (what's left of it) has a way of changing the narrative.
