You don’t need a church to love and worship God. The true ‘house of God’ is within your own Heart and Soul, not a material building.
That being said, going to church should be your choice, not theirs! I wonder if they’re arresting muslims and Japan for going to church, or just Christians?

It seems likely that Protestant Evangelicals are being targeted. The Catholic church will follow the Pope's lead. IMO, the Protestant evangelical Christians are being targeted because they are usually independent and do not have such a structured formal organization. They are the least likely to take orders from outside entities.
