Iraq did have WMDs provided by Russia. When the second Iraq war started, a Russian transport ship docked in Syria and offloaded a convoy of supply trucks and armored vehicles, and Spetsnaz troops.

The Russians traveled to an Iraqi secret weapons facility, one that was testing components to make a nuclear bomb. The Russians loaded everything that could incriminate them (yellow cake) into the supply trucks and then rigged the building with explosives and destroyed it.

On the return to their ship, the Russians were spotted at different times by American and British fighter jets. The planes were told every time not to attack the convoy. American special forces also spotted the convoy and radioed it in to command. They were told to ignore it.

Years after the war, a Russian general bragged about how they removed WMDs under the West’s noses. British servicemen, after retiring, also spoke out about the convoy. Jordan’s GID, and Saudi Arabia’s MOD both affirmed the Russians had removed the WMD.

That is incorrect. I hate how people like to say Saddam didn't have WMDs, yet Chemical Weapons and Biological Weapons are included in the definition of WMDs and Saddam had these. No one debates that Saddam gassed the Kurds for example.

Beyond Chemical and Biological weapons, Saddam did have a nuke program. It just wasn't as far along as he would have liked. As example, I recall the discovery of centrifuge equipment discovered buried outside one Iraqi's house. You can hide alot in the sand. Saddam hid entire planes in the desert. Wind would come across the dune, and you'd see the tip of a wing....
