We don't have liquor stores (govt owned) in WA any longer. They sell both wine/beer and hard liquor at Safeway and most other grocery stores. So, when I do my commando-style shopping at 0630 on Sunday mornings, I'm sure to stock up on things like gin/whiskey/vodka.

I think you are misinterpreting what he is saying. Most cold and flu viruses "hide in people's throat" in the way he describes, ie it's in your throat, among other places, and that's why you cough it out and spread it. IE Sore throat :p

It may hide there during an incubation period, but once infected, the virus is emitted by the lower lungs. Potentially trillions of aerosolized virus particles per breath are exhaled by an infected. From the lungs, not the throat.

I don’t believe this new report since it doesn’t mention the virus hiding out in the ace2 rich testes, which many people say is its natural reservoir.
