Yep I'm going to get into the rabbit breeding as soon as I can get the hutches organized!!! I want them for their 'cool' fertilization as well as their meat.

Re: Gardens?????
Yep. We put in 4 raised beds a few years ago, and then added 6 big tubs and two garden towers. We're old, so getting down on our knees isn't a good option.

Walked the dog past our next door neighbor's house (we're all on 2.5 acres or more) and found them weeding, and brought home a plastic shopping bag full of leeks, and the promise of a cherry tomato plant when it's right for planting in the out-of-doors.

This lockdown in WA has been frustrating (we're in the middle of a kitchen remodel that had to stop because construction workers aren't essential), but it's also had some benefits with neighbors actually getting out of their houses and gardening, walking pets, and talking to neighbors (social distancing of course).

I'm also trying my hand at making liqueurs and breaking out the old bread baking books. Hubby wants to make starter for his loaves and I want to extend the little yeast I still have left with a recipe I found on Pinterest. Who would have thought that all the flour, sugar, yeast, baking soda/powder would become scarce?

Re: Gardens?????
Yep. Started some asparagus in one area, lettuce, spinach and radishes in another. Have some starts going in the house to put in the main garden in a week or two. Going to put in the peas, onions, carrots and beets over the next few days.

Love this time of year. :)

Re: Gardens?????
Already started my tomatoes and squashes indoors. Should have already planted my green onions, carrots and radishes but I got lazy. Will do so next week when the snow stops.

If the snow stops anytime soon...

Re: Gardens?????
Not. Growing enough but ran out of space. Tomatoes blueberries sushito peppers oranges three trees regular peppers and onions. Just a start but I need more potting soil to be honest. Fixed the irrigation system to hit it all though.

Not yet. I never plant until Mother's day since a late winter storm on May 5 wiped out all my hard work a few years back. I swear the seasons have shifted by a month. My new planting date is mid may and we never get hard frosts until November anymore where it used to be October.

Re: Gardens?????
I'm glad I didn't this year. It's been warm since February and a garden would have done well until last night. We had a hard freeze and it might snow on Tuesday. Everything would have died, if I planted early...

I'll just go to the store and buy my Mators at 99 cents a pound...

Re: Gardens?????
Just moving in, emptied old dirt green house, converting to hydroponic and shelve system, busy building small animal housing chicken house and yard done for my dozen Buff Orpingtons, Now the quail and then the rabbits.

Got apx a hundred plants started, need to transplant into larger containers!

Going to do a container garden this year. as I must get rid of 3 huge cotton wood trees that will block 90% of the early day sun.
