This lockdown in WA has been frustrating (we're in the middle of a kitchen remodel that had to stop because construction workers aren't essential), but it's also had some benefits with neighbors actually getting out of their houses and gardening, walking pets, and talking to neighbors (social distancing of course). I'm also trying my hand at making liqueurs and breaking out the old bread baking books. Hubby wants to make starter for his loaves and I want to extend the little yeast I still have left with a recipe I found on Pinterest. Who would have thought that all the flour, sugar, yeast, baking soda/powder would become scarce? |

I never plant until Mother's day since a late winter storm on May 5 wiped out all my hard work a few years back. I swear the seasons have shifted by a month. My new planting date is mid may and we never get hard frosts until November anymore where it used to be October. Redneck hussy |

Got apx a hundred plants started, need to transplant into larger containers! Going to do a container garden this year. as I must get rid of 3 huge cotton wood trees that will block 90% of the early day sun. sandman |
