If Trump opens economy will we see a second wave?

I believe it is up to each state, how and when they want to send kids back to school, open business, lessen social distancing, etc. This is not up to Trump, thankfully.

If a state opens to soon/fast, I think there will be a second wave of the virus.

I agree. I think the first wave happened last fall.

If he issues a Mask order and steps up testing and gets hydroxychloroquine from India in production. It will be time to get to work! But it is still in the States Governors hands!

If that happens, vulnerable people (old and sick) should STILL stay at home, until the virus burns out. That way, we won't see so many that need to go into ICU, get a "ventilator", and DIE, after the economy is opened up.

Wasn’t a really a good lockdown in the first place to much nonessential shit called essential. At this point might as well just let it run through the herd.

There were about 15% fewer US deaths for the month of March than the average of the four previous years.

Most that have died had comorbidities, which means they were already dying of something else. And now we see they're attribting completely unrelated deaths to CV, which means we are being scammed.

I see no evidence whatsoever that the effects of this virus justify putting millions of people out of work. Isolate the elderly, provide assistence for high risk individuals, and let the rest of us go back to work NOW.

We'll see a second wave, but it has nothing to do with whether or not Trump opens the economy. This is just the normal cycle of a virus.

Second wave???... There wasn't even a first!

During our little Covid19 discussion... I asked the teller at one of the big grocers in my area to stop what she was doing and listen. She did.

There was quite a few people in the store. She then said, "what am I listening for?". So, told here again to stop everything and listen. I said "do you hear that?"... She said, "hear what?". I said, "no one in the store is coughing... not a one".

Then I asked her, "how can there be a respiratory disease pandemic, or epidemic, and there is no one coughing?" She looked at me stumped at first not able to quickly think of a logical answer.

Then I said, "how can the whole country's economy & society be shut down by the government, along with our a lot our civil liberties and freedom taken away, for a deadly respiratory pandemic/epidemic... when there is no one coughing out in public, no one collapsing in plain site & not one person video'd/photographed fallen dead in the street?"
