Saw them, too. about 2130. Flying so high you couldn't hear the engines, but moving so fast one covered the sky in about a minute. must be going just below the speed of sound at 40K feet or higher. Counted 25.
Military? Maybe. Might be surplus planes on their way to an Arabian country?
Either way, they were there.

But have either of you noticed the helicopters at the odd hours? I'm kind on on a flight path to the airport and have been hearing them often. The other morning around 4 am they flew so low my whole place was shaking and rattled the windows. Woke me up for sure. I see all kinds of crazy things over the nc,Tennessee line, lots of Military stuff. I've looked into the secret bases that are supposed to be in those mountains, but I couldn't find anything credible. I was saying don't call 911,they don't know nothing and it makes the shelter look even worse. Which reminds me I got to update my homeless shelter post tonight. Down to about 20. But I've never seen so many people freaking out. They made me even more excited! Lol There is a lot of strange things in the sky around here. I used to live on some land west of Asheville and had a clear view of the sky. I could sit out on the porch for hours and watch all sorts of strange things. Not sure about any secret bases because I've never heard anyone talk of them around here, but the military does do training out in places like Harmon's Den I've been told. There are many places they could do this and no one know.
