Those "mitigation efforts" cannot possibly affect the numbers for at least two to three weeks. The numbers were WRONG before then. Denial is a mental state that occurs when people are incapable or unwilling to accept a major paradigm shift. These people are trying to reassure themselves that everything will be normal if all we did was end the lockdowns. Confirmation bias has led them to poopoo all the very serious data about this virus and instead believe whatever aligns with what their heart wants. At the end of the day, it won’t matter. It will be a bleak day when they are forced to accept that reality is not what they want it to be and normal is over. |

Nope. number 3 is a pipe dream for one very good reason. flu isnt nearly as contagious. smithfield meats had 300 out of 2500 people that tested positive. this wouldnt happen with the flu, also they are finding out there is probably no immunity to this. the flu confers immunity. this means people will NEVER be able to go back to work without fear of reinfection. |
