I followed the spider silk..ran with this one for a little bit and did a little digging..
some interesting bread crumbs... to follow.
I hate to think that art can still be used as a Trojan horse. (those that refuse to remember the past are doomed to repeat it)

Louise Bourgeois- she is the artist of "Maman" was a printmaker and painter before a sculptor.. (she was a progressive woman of influence who could self-publish ;) )

now, her sculptures have temporary and permanent locations.. I found this interesting in the location of where they are.. and have been. Mostly Westernized areas of the world...

the sculpture is made of steel, bronze and pink marble pretty much. there is a "cage-like" structure around the marble "eggs" (makes me think of faraday cages and radioactive signature of the stone Marble)
