When will the first big one hit? Anyone's guess. I would be ready to go underground in an hours notice or less. Thanks for responding so quickly. Over the past year, my understanding is that something big this way comes...but it's not a one-off event, and possibly a number of different, seemingly unrelated things like gravitational waves and whatever comes every 13,000 years or so to send us starting all over again after we come out of its ice age. The asteroids you mentioned, if cyclic, seems to fit the bill. And, then there's Apophis passing close in a few years, before it returns with a big Badda boom. Thanks. I'll pay closer attention from now on. It's all related. The galaxy is like our solar system. A clock. Things happen in a cyclical pattern. Like the rising and setting of the sun. Summer, fall, winter and spring. Our magnetic environment is changing. We can absolutely expect more cometary impacts, earthquakes, volcanoes, solar outbursts and a geomagnetic reversal. Nothing can stop it. It's the seasons of our galaxy. We can prepare. Winter is coming. Cool, just like Game of Thrones. Who here wants to play Jon Snow? Maybe Fossy can be Daenarys. Obviously I get to be Drogo.
