Today was my day to venture outside, into the well-publicized darkness, the vast unknown - once commonly referred to as the “grocery store.” *gasp*

From the detailed warnings that have been foretold here, I anticipated a line outside of the store due to the new limit of people allowed in at the same time. I figured “non-essential” items would be roped off and I wouldn’t be able to get birthday supplies. Frankly, I hate to admit it but some GLP doom gives me increased paranoia and I’ve found myself ready to bug out with every new “Uncle Intel” thread - and we all know, that’s A LOT of threads!
With all of that being said, what I experienced today was nothing like I had imagined it would be; reality, for once, was so much better than I had ever anticipated - today was truly a heartwarming day.

I am a big believer in you get what you give, so if you go to the store anticipating everyone to be rude, you’ll likely end up having an experience that upholds that narrative. I am a self-diagnosed cheese ball, of the cheesiest variety, and I feel that there’s truly never been a better time than now to be kind and spread joy; if I can make someone else’s day better, I’m doing it, every time!

I headed to the store with a positive outlook and the unrivaled determination to, once and for all, find a bag of Cheetos Puffs. For whatever reason, those cheesy puffs are my stress snack but apparently, I’m not alone because they’ve been sold out for weeks. WEEKS! But I digress.

I went in to a Meijer store in Southeastern Michigan - Covid19 hot spot - and I made the decision that I was going to spread love and light. I said “hello” to everyone; I said “thank you” to every single worker on duty; and I decided to be eXtRa, ExTrA cheesy and bought smiley face stickers for store workers, whom were working their butts off.
More times than not, I used humor to either joke with someone that I had to “back up six feet” from them; or if I felt it was more appropriate to proceed in a serious manner, I simply asked if they were comfortable with our distance from one another and if it were okay to, at times, break the six feet rule.
I must say, having a mask on makes communicating harder than usual but we’re all wearing masks and therefore, “in” on the joke - as well as the apparent overheating because these face masks are SCORCHING HOTTT. I have even more respect for nurses and doctors now.

As it went, laughter prevailed. I was received not only well, but overwhelming positively by everyone. Every age, race and stereotype the MSM would like you to believe could never live harmoniously in times like these, well, we were laughing in the aisles and asking each other how we were coping.
It was very evident that people wanted to talk; needed to talk. We may be in the middle of the hardest experience we as a collective have ever faced, but we have this beautiful ability to show our best characteristics - the little things that make up the very best part of what it means to be human - because we haven’t lost those and it goes to show that in times of sorrow and sadness, we never will. The human spirit prevails. Every time.

I don’t tell you this to brag about myself; if anything, I’m sure you could do it so much better than I did! Regardless of what it is that you do or don’t have to give, just know that the simplest gesture will always be appreciated and you will never regret spreading the love.

So, there it is, friends - I’m sorry to tell you that it was an absolutely amazing trip out and there wasn’t a single negative interaction or response! It was a lovely day of appreciation shared and humanism at its finest.

We spend a lot of time preparing for what could be; focusing on just “how bad” it will get. We never stop to wonder how GOOD we can make it. Everyone is so afraid these days because no one has the absolute right answer or “correct” way to solve this just yet. But what we do have, without fail, is one another and our never-ending ability to persevere.
So, don’t live in fear when the news says to; disregard your friends name-calling - real friends wouldn’t do that, anyway; heck, screw what GLP’s threads are broadcasting to panic about at this very moment. We’re going to make it, one way or another. Best of all, you’re going to make it and you’ll be grateful you remained the good human being you’ve always been. Our lives are changing by the second but what makes humans great, nothing can change that.

So if you have to go out there, please be safe and spread the love; the universe always recognizes those who do, especially in times like these.

And just in case you can’t take anymore of this love fest, take some solace in knowing the Cheetos were still sold out.

Thank you for the kind words, it honestly means more to me than I can say. My heart is racing having posted this now and the negative comments aren’t doing too much to calm it; I should have realized that before posting. But while I’m pushing back my regret, I want you to know I appreciate you.

Your sighting sounds amazing!! I’d love to actually truly see the detail of the craft; mine was just a glowing ball. “Just” as if it’s not all freaking amazing! Hah it truly is cool, though - I consider us lucky.

It took about two weeks to get unhacked because Apple informed me that my Apple ID and iCloud were compromised. I’ll link to the Apple Support receipt. Apparently if Malware in “in” your iCloud - I don’t know the proper terminology - a factory reset will initially clear the phone but as soon as you link it to the hacked iCloud, that malware is downloaded back onto the device.

So, I would reset the phone, put in my Apple ID and they would have access to my phone. It took about two weeks of back and forth, thinking the reset fixed it but then realizing it hadn’t, until I finally made a new iCloud.

The video is from my old iCloud that I can still access if I sign into a Apple device with that login info.
