Yes, excess males contributes to an unstable and dysfunctional society. As well, as polygamy practised in Islamic and African countries.

However, the cause for the pandemic is animal breeding and consumption, or lab experments on animals.

India also has excess males, but the pandemic did not arise from there, due to the above reasons.
