Quoting: Still Historically speaking...with crude as low as it is the price at the pump should be much lower. I know there is a lag time between crude prices and when it reflects at the pump for the consumer however just a basic look back at the historical correlation shows the price at the pump is pretty high. Any oil and gas gurus out there in GLP land care to weigh in? It is always stated that our refinement capacity is low...however in times like these demand is so low that that should be a mute point. Am i missing something here? what the fuck? Do you want them to just give it to you for free? Its the lowest its been in 20 years I swear, nothing is ever good enough for you whiney bitches. It could be 50 fucking cents a gallon and your fat ass would still be on here bitching |

Id find something else to complain about. its beyond reasonable right now |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78818847 United States 04/19/2020 10:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here in Illinois 53 cents per gallon in taxes. 60 cents per gallon to refine the crude. 11 cents per gallon for transport and handling. So if oil was free and the gas station was built for free, and the owners sold at cost and nobody was on the payroll.... The price would be $1.24 Its $1.75 I'm pretty sure the other 51 cents is paying for the gas station , employees pay and a profit margins of 5% ( 6 cents ) You guys need to learn basic math. |

Been buying gas and diesel fuel a very long time. No need to get shitty with me. Just looking to get some input for myself and others about why there is a historical divergence in the price of crude and gas at the pump. |
