I refuse to let everything I've worked so hard for the past 30 years since graduating from college to evaporate in 6 weeks. I'd rather die fighting than to live sheltered-in-place. Does that mean I think all of this is one big ruse? Certainly not... at least not completely. I'm staying safe (best I can). Keeping my distance (as much as possible). Taking vitamins and supplements (more than ever). But I'm working. I'm taking walks. Enjoying the spring weather. Completing some projects around the house. AND LIVING! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 74490437 United Kingdom 04/21/2020 10:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No limbo here... Got more work than normal - as I deliver parcels - e.g normally Tuesdays are my easy days (today) and that means around 40-50 parcels. I had to deliver 139 parcels today. The rest of the time I'm largely doing the same as I was Pre-Covid... a lot of time reading, practicing guitar/drums/singing, a little bit of gaming, a lot of youtube. Altho this year I wanted to find some casual sex by going out... I've never done it, last g/f cheated on me so I just wanna go have fun and not worry about it... but everything is locked down now. Guess that will have to wait... or I can get a take away ;) |

I don't know what lies they told you, but I can promise they were lies. There's a fine line between training, trauma, and torture. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77997570 United States 04/21/2020 10:29 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Started a greenhouse planting potatoes today. Quoting: Spritzer Second week of Jan, I saw a healthy looking women die of cardiac arrest at my gym.(fast) All of the Covid started to kick off around that time and I was spooked, big time. Decided that the gym was a no go and bought a Nordictrack freestride with iFit membership. Absolutely love the combo. The machine is in sync with what Im doing, and I have tour guides . Just toured Slovenia, what a beautiful country. Recommended if you're bored and want exercise. did you buy the optional "cardiac arrest alert" option? . |

Quoting: King of Fools Same here, but add cooking, and subtract the weed - Although, I found out the reason I've been turning into a slacker lately was because one of the supplements I was taking for my health was also a "cannabis receptor activator" or something (can't remember the exact terminology at the mo, but close enough). Eh, we all make mistakes. I don't know what lies they told you, but I can promise they were lies. There's a fine line between training, trauma, and torture. |

Dealing with an alcoholic ex-son in law, which is why I had to move otherwise my grandson would not be able to progress to the next grade since our liberal governor refuses to open things back up. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75257999 Lost my job where I lived previously because I had a low grade fever, local health department refused to test, and my employer wouldn't allow me to return to work even with PPE nor would they pay me beyond PTO. Still have the low grade fever 5 weeks later due to chronic sinus issues. Tele-health would not prescribe antibiotics. The new residence is a whole other beast (70's trailer). Literally, one of two places available to rent at the time I relocated two weeks ago. It's a lot at the moment. I'm overwhelmed. I'm alone. I could really use some prayers if anyone is willing. Prayers Sent. They're 'Counting the Omer' for 50 days which began April 12th (the first day after the Passover sabbath) so you now only have to hang on for about 6 weeks, until May 29th. Then we'll be out of here. THANK YOU! Your prayers mean so much to me! |

In all of eternity, we will never again get the chance to glorify God in the face of adversity. “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:19-21 It's all real guys, it's freaking all actually REAL. It's tripping me out. |

User ID: 78698051 Canada 04/21/2020 11:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This period we are in is like limbo. The structures of our society have fundamentally broken, but we are yet to feel the impacts in our day to day. Societies take months, sometimes years to collapse. It won't be the overnight decline into anarchy that many people want. But this is happening and it's past the point of no return now. It'll just take a few months to catch up to the 'now'. Quoting: Chaosisfreedom So how you guys spending this weird period where everyone is continuing to act in the 'normal' but the economic inertia hasn't stopped yet? No judgement here, the government is paying some of us to get stoned and play video games all day, it's dope. But the steam is going to run out soon, I'd estimate we got about 4 months until it's approaching the anarchy territory most of you want. Til then, we living it up or what? Party at the end of the world, enjoy the top while it's still in. Or is it time to lock and load? Is this valuable prep time that could be priceless later on. The rue of those who wasted it. Could these few weeks of relative stability be the difference between life and death for some people? Cleaning more, cooking more, everyday is Saturday night everything is great and smooth running! |
