Re: Let's talk about the Media, Shall We?
So I tell my children that when they lie to me, that it breaks down my trust. Then, I will have this thought to now wonder if they are telling me the truth.

We can't have "flow" that way, because I stop and then basically scan them in different ways to discern truth from lies.

I can spot the energy of a lie.

Unless I want to believe it.

So I just seek truth.

This is where we are with the media. We know they have all lied.

We know they are directed from a Source, and not a free standing collective. This means their entire wellbeing is threated if there is no money. So they have to stay in the lines to get the money.

Who are their biggest $$$ Supporters.

ok - so moving on.

Next we have the dynamic, also noteworthy that it is reflected in children. When one does something wrong, they try to silence the other one.

They resort to threats, and occasionally physical violence. (Of which they are immediately put in "protective custody" chuckle)

They bribe and blackmail. (Oh the things I have heard from elementary children about not telling Mom).

They become spiteful and retaliate.

They try to silence all voices in opposition. They twist the story. They tell on the other one first.

They try to get to everyone else they can first to slander the person who knows what they did.

So far - I was only talking about elementary age children.

However, I can absolutely say the same things about the media and other corporate, Gov, and private business practices.

Perhaps the entire problem is emotional maturity.

As far as the media is concerned...we already have laws against treason!

And the penalty is clear!

The first amendment does not protect lying treacherous bastards from attempting to overthrow the US gov't.

oh, another thought...

If it is rescinded, that would really be a statement about fake news, and a move to end it.

It would force them to be more investigative, like it is their job.

The reporters and the news station would face retribution for spreading false narratives.

This might be a good wake up

Setting down boundaries is imporant in any relationship, community, corporation and government. For all sides.

You know that isn't the case.

When ABC news plays us a (years old) video from a gun range in kentucky and tells us this is a front line battle from this morning in syria...it has nothing to do with "emotional maturity".

Thank you.

It is so important for everyone to feel valued. If they were to walk into adult life with this treasure in their souls, the world would be quite different.

I would like to know more about what/who was behind the drastic change in the media after 9/11. You really saw the change in news programs but there were changes in regular programs too. Shows like Survivor and Fear Factor were early examples. TV and radio became busy influencing people to become hard-asses, to have pity for no one, and this attitude really spread into the American psyche. Displays of sensitivity and empathy were now ridiculed.

The news shows became downright nasty, pointing judgement and blame in all directions. They became very busy turning people against each other, the biggest example of course were the Muslims, then the Evangelical Christians, women, white people, poor people, rich people, immigrants, those against immigrants, women who didn't work outside the home... just non-stop complaining and finger-pointing.

It spilled over online, and the theme of "hate thy neighbor" was everywhere.

This new brutal attitude was picked up by people. Words and phrases often repeated by the media became part of people's vocabulary, in fact it became easy to identify who watched FOX news and who watched MSNBC by the opinions a person held and the way they spoke, even parroting the tone of voice and the expressions of the newscasters.

The directors of all this, those who orchestrated all this, did it for a reason. They know a country that is divided will fall, and they did everything they could to seriously divide people in this country.

It's just odd how you never hear people talking about this issue.

I would really like to know more about this, though I believe the only possible explanation is because there was a plan to destroy this nation, which was a part of the mission of 9/11, which I believe was some kind of coup.

You present very valid points.

And you are on to something.

I would like to go back to the days of leave it to beaver and picnics by the river with a nice swim afterwards.

Laying on grass and watching the clouds roll by.

Everyone being polite and neighborly.

I never lived in those times, but my family says it was real.

Maybe we could just make some towns like that. Be the majority so it is very uncomfortable for liars, cheats and those who wish harm.

States like that?

It has been such a challenge to filter programming.

Thank you for what you wrote, and taking the time to really explain it. Much appreciated.

Re: Let's talk about the Media, Shall We?
The perspective I grew up with didn't include much Media consumption. I was on computers by age 7 and on the internet with my own email address by age 12. Even at my current age (26) what I'm learning is that my brain is yet to reach maturity.

The internet means I'm surrounded by information, and having it in my formative stages of development means I'm used to it and take it for granted. I don't have a limited set of channels where to get my news and information. Case in point, here I am on GLP.

Any science working on measuring the impact of the Internet on collective awareness is probably in its infancy, and the increasing complexity of information available (in terms of quantity such as raw data and content creation, as well as quality in terms of topics, themes, genres, mediums like text, audio, video, etc) could very well mean that science as it has operated before (specialized institutions and individuals working in silos operating as authorities on the facts in specific fields) is inadequate for dealing with a rapidly changing "world".

The "old way" was to have a representative of some field (whether science, or the news, or even religion, perhaps) as a symbol of authority which would broadcast information to the public.

The changing times seem to be calling for individuals to "do their own research" for the science, the news and spiritual development in interactive (rather than broadcast) formats.

In my opinion, based on my individual investigations I think the peaceful solution which would include the agreed upon laws of the land would be to develop and refine a system of ethical economics which is adaptable to rapidly changing circumstances and takes individual development, interests and priorities into account.

The “crawl” as we know it became permanent by lunchtime on 9/11/01.
“BREAKING NEWS” too.

“RED ALERT” came up non stop, essential in pushing the fake war
in the years to come.
Color coded terror threat charts. Be afraid, be very afraid.
Now even local weather uses “red alert” for mere rain.

My local tv station, owned by a huge media group, STLL shows a “TERROR WATCH” segment showing guys in turbans running through obstacle courses, in between small town news stories.

Then the cable news, eventually helped polarize the country with the dumb president, then the black president who thought he was so smart, then back to the dumb president again, all in the middle of these huge emergencies and wars which somehow let the decision makers suck the treasury dry while the people fight amongst themselves.

Thank you for sharing your perspective.

My oldest children had similar experiences.

When I was younger, we watched the news. They were trusted sources of information, and they seemed to compete over covering stories. There were investigative reporters.

News was one way. They broadcast, we listened.

Then the internet allowed for a more 2 way conversation. They listened, we questioned.

Then when the questions ended up making the public the ones actually doing the investigative reporting, the media seemed to shut it down.

Instead of relishing the ability to have information coming in real time, there was no control over it.

Truth was spilling out everywhere. Lies were being called out in real time and debunked by someone's aunt with a computer.

So now - with Alex Jones and others, say what you will about him, censorship has now been allowed by the people.

Things are being scrubbed.

(Seth Rich)

People are shooting themselves in the chest with a shotgun and then jumping into a river after being investigated by the FBI.

The media was supposed to be a check and balance on the Gov.

Now it is owned by the Gov.

Or at least the CEO's are all married to ex white house staff - or 2 degrees of separation.

So yes, a lot of critical thinking, research, second and 50th opinions of others who have some background in the topic and the thin line of not making an assumption when you KNOW something is wrong is the dance today.

I like your last paragraph.

You have a beautiful brain - I hope you get the chance to help the world with it.
