Various promising "green" energy strategies are shown to be largely empty covers for deeply destructive and wasteful patterns of development.

Documented here is some of the many ways that billionaire investors have cloaked pathological growth objectives in the good intentions of the public to develop lower impact and sustainable energy futures.

Michael Moore is just the exec. producer for this film. It is written and produced by someone else so you fools one starring it without even taking a second to examine it need to simmer your idiocy down a notch or two.

Watched it an hour ago. Kind of depressing but as I just had seen how the economy of China is crashing and how the oil price is negative, I was able to see the problem is not overpopulation per se but the stupid consumerism culture of that population.

It unmasks the green movement as bought and paid by billionaires in cahoots with liberal politicians, and also kind of says that we are screwed anyway because all alternative energies are a scam and because the real problem is overpopulation. I disagree with the overpopulation idea because is not overpopulation per se but the insane consumerism of the population.

People that 1 Star this thread thinking that this is one liberal piece of shit are in for a big surprise. This doc is a punch on the balls to the Whole liberal led environmentalism movement, but in a way that conservatives will detest equally because it points to the many elephants in the room.

You say you don't like fossil fuels- Here have some biomass plants and lets cut down the forests for short term profit. You say you want solar? Let us build ridiculous solar plants and inefficient panel technology and "we" will sell the mining products to produce them.

Wind is abundant but who gets to decide that the over priced and overhyped mega wind turbines are the way to harness it. You guessed it. Big oil. They figured out the only way to stay in business was to corner the market on all alternatives and systematically make them as expensive as possible.

Then they can always fund the activist and protest groups to steer their propaganda or there is always scare already poor and struggling people with extra taxes.

These people are evil beyond words.

They are all parasites as those that take more than they need.

Just to comment that, as Moore is hated by most GLPers, It is necessary to say that the documentary was directed by Gibbs, Moore just produced it (meaning that he paid the bills, mostly).

I will say it again: this documentary will probably be a shock to any conservative to see, as it dismantles the whole environmentalist and green energy movement as a money making scam and also mocks Al Gore big time and exposes he for the fraud we all know he is.

However, the underline is that the real problem is overpopulation, and I disagree because the real problem is overconsumption, which is only driven by our insane economic system of perpetual growth in a limited environment.
