Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then. If the more I know, the more I know I don’t know, then do I truly know what I know because I know I don’t? [link to www.gaiaherbs.com (secure)] More recently, a 2016 study showed that a formula based on Elderberry inhibited cytokines in people who had atherosclerosis.3 The take-away from this study is that the cytokines were not helpful to the overall situation, and Elderberry did not stimulate cytokine production. The Bottom Line Elderberry is not likely to be able to cause CRS (Cytokine Relese Syndrome) to happen by itself, and there have been no causative links of Elderberry or any herbs associated with CRS. CRS is caused by a severe amount of damage to the tissues and activated immune cells in later stages of infection, and therefore should be managed by medical professionals. |

Not that I was ever symptomatic but I did stop elderberry as some posted. I did continue my other herbs and supplements, too many to list. Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.
