Re: Went to Walmart In Georgia today!
I've been going to the walmarts every dang week (Georgia) since this "thing started".

No mask, no nothing. Matter of fact, been doing any thing I've wanted to. Been working, been outside in yard. I really don't know wtf all this was about to be honest.

Was like this in my town until since Wal-Mart employees came down with the illness.

Now only one person can enter as a family and get what they need. Police enforcement at the entrance.

Dont know what the policy is in Georgia. Time will tell all.

Imagine how much data the Feds have been gathering on how humans have been reacting to all these measures.

They are studying us.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76799292

That was my thought as well. This is one giant sociological experiment to see how easy it is to advance their agenda. So far, one thing they do know is, flood the media with fear, and the less independent ones will follow with whatever they are told to do, or not do.

A crisis is key. Make the crisis, then whip the people into a frenzy over it. See how far you can push them before behavioral fatigue sets in and there's push-back.

I cannot recall a time where there wasn't some kind of fear drilled into our heads, so whatever the government does is excused. Either we were little, filled with the fear of the commies bombing the shit out of us while we hid under our desks (boy was that dumb or what), or some bullshit pandemic, or some raggy terrorists...gotta have that boogeyman.

The next fear will be food shortages and war. Personally, I'm sick of the whole fear-based lifestyle that Americans have embraced. Fuck all of it.

I went to one in Jax today...hadn't been for about 3 or 4 weeks...you get one entrance to go in and one entrance to exit..you don't have every exit and entrance open to you...there were a lot of masks considering...But clearly, people are deliberately ignoring those one way signs. I almost crashed into a guy..it was NOT very well stocked, but they were stocking as we were buying. I am trying to keep in my same neighborhood I live in for grocery shopping, since Jacksonville is huge and some places are way more infected than others. Haven't been to the beach yet...

I went yesterday. No one was walking in the “right” direction from what I could tell. I also bought as much meat as I wanted.

Other than the line to get in it appeared to be business as usual where I am, too.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78842500

We drive on the right side of the road on this country

The in and out entrances for grocery stores are always on your right either way

WalMart has our “in”
On the LEFT”
And “out”
On the right

Making sure to confuse and disorient people

Then the whole store has been under reorganization and remodeling

EVERYTHING seems to be in a different place EVERY WEEK

Aisles Don’t always continue -some blocked -
They wind around maze-Like thru the Moved shelves / they
Move Them at night

Cul-de-sacs for beauty products

People saying “sorry” because they are going the “wrong way” ... like the guy in a black ski mask with a big TV in his cart - cognitive dissonance everywhere

All New checkouts -took the employee checker ones out and put in almost all self checkout

Batteries moved

Candy moved

Even the dam BBQ chickens moved

Can’t get out the garden center - I had to make a mess with dirt from buying some vegetable plants at a regular self-
Checkout

I think they want people to just stare at the floor and comply even when it makes no sense

Then it will be so much easier when they go to load the trucks and trains

WalMart is just a Processing center

Yep Walmart here is the same way, almost fully stocked, people masked up including Walmart staff and cashiers and one way isles and entrances.

Has anyone been in a Petsmart lately? I need to go there but can wait if its Lines outside ect.
 Quoting: BBQ BOY™

I'm not in Georgia, but in NC I've been in Psrsmart and Petco. Six foot markers for the check out lines. Nothing else different than any other time.
I went to the grocery store and they have arrows in the aisles. I didn't notice them and just like everyone else, went back and forth and paid them no mind, but like I said, I didn't notice them until I was ready to check out. Oh well.
I'd say about 50/50 people wearing masks.

Haven’t been to Walmart in 6 weeks. Had to get a few things as online shipping is taking forever.

Put on a mask and headed in. Oh shit!
First of all, there was NO difference today compared to any other Saturday (virus free). The place was packed. I would say half were wearing masks.

Walmart has all these signs on the floors telling you to stay six feet away and also what direction to go down the aisles.

That was the biggest waste of money they spent. Literally no one was abiding by the six feet apart rule, nor were they going in the correct direction. Basically, anyone who cared, just gave up because it was pointless. No monitoring either, of course.

I had to go from front of store to back and it made no difference. It was a free for all.

Someone without a mask let out a big ass sneeze and I did a 180 and left.
All I have to say is we better hope Kemp made the right decision because it is business as normal in my area.
 Quoting: PENG

yeah woopdee shit, so first week they roll it out nobody obeys. but it's not going away. once thing like this roll out they never go back to normal. 100 years from now nobody will even know why they must all go one way down the isles. there will be a wiki article, a trivial fact about why people started going one way down isles.

that is the history of your species in a nutshell. you don't know what you are and your cattle ranchers that own you don't want you to know where you came from, what you are,

Exactly!! That’s why I drive full speed the wrong way down one way streets and just turn my lights off at night while I blow through four way stops. Fuck your signs next week I have a MRI and I’ll bring live ammo in my pockets that will show um.

I feel bad for those of you who have to go to Walmart because it's your only choice. I refuse to go there. I went once last year and it was awful, said I wasn't going back. The stores are never clean and even before all this craziness they were never well stocked. Target is the same just cleaner and the people are a little cleaner too. Still though I just can't bring myself to shop at those places. I'm glad we have Meijer. They have pretty much the same stuff and there is a far better clientele. And no damn directional signage.

It's called obsessive compulsive disorder. These rituals are an attempt at dealing with increased anxiety.

I've noticed an increase in this kind of behavior lately. I was picking up eggs a couple weeks ago and I had to wait about 3 minutes for a dude to go through about 10 cartons of eggs, checking/touching each individual egg, as he selected his 3 cartons. Numerous times, he turned around and looked at me standing there patiently, but could not stop what he was doing for 5 seconds to let me get my eggs. Sad, really.

Same here in Are Kansas. I went to Wu-Mart and it was big black booty spandex day so I got treated to that. White people not wearing masks, black people all had medical grade masks somehow...

Mexicans (whatever shithole they hail from) all not wearing anything or speaking English as usual.

We picked up an order from Walmart yesterday & I saw a few masks, but certainly not half. They were busy though, just like normal. They had the doors marked where to go in and it seemed like people were doing it.

Just a clue as to why many blacks have surgical masks...

The got them nursing school, relatives in nursing schools and working in the field of nursing. There's a ton of black americans, africans, hispanics in nursing schools around here and working in the field.

BTW, they touch them constantly, their hands are always going to the masks!

Just got back from commie mart. They did have all the doors open for both entry and exit. They had a brown shirt counting people but she was brain dead and missed many when gossiping to the people leaving. I told her she was a trader as I entered. She didnt even know what it meant. I am proud of the GA people they were packed in there nice today and no one social distancing!!! Damn proud to be in GA. Yea they have those silly stickers on the aisles but no one paying them any
attention.

The aldi my hats off to because they have never had any of this bullshit at their stores since day one. They did however give you free buggies during all this BS. SO good on aldi!!!

OH MY GOD!!! The WAFFLE HOUSE opened last night!!!! I went in had a seat like a normal human and had a order of hash browns smothered and covered!!!!

Here in N GA we are back to almost normal and everyone is giving a finger to the social distancing BS. I even make fun of people who wear masks. They are traders they need to leave GA and go to china.

OP, if you don't give a crap whether or not you catch Covid 19, go to Walmart and some of the other big box stores like Lowe's. If you do, you would do best to stay away from them. Those places are where the unwashed masses shop. At the best of times they have no understanding of hygiene. Do you really think that, just because there is a pandemic, they all the sudden are going to change their ways? They might hoard toilet paper, but that is about the best you are going to get from Walmart shoppers as far as concessions to a pandemic go.

My state never went into lockdown and put few rules in places.

People were and are still staying away from each other and the stores have a lot less people in them then before this started.

So maybe Georgia is just full of retards or something.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77222866

Ha, we are gonna find out for sure in a couple weeks! Like I said, if we don’t see a huge spike i the next couple of weeks here, then this was a farce. Because there is no way you can have a virus that contagious and have a shitload of people in a Walmart with no order whatsoever, and come out alive in a couple weeks. Just praying I didn’t get anything.
 Quoting: PENG

The real rub is there is no specific test for this specific virus.

look at how much emphasis is being placed on "testing". It's a joke. There is no specific test and the "instant tests" are a real crock of shit
 Quoting: Irish eyes

I think we are under1% for testing here. I know a nursing home patient just tested positive up in North GA 2 days ago. They are retesting hoping it’s a false positive as the entire place had been locked up tight and the patient had no contact with the outside world for 4 weeks. This isnt in the news yet.
