Andrew Cuomo was asked about unemployment Monday, and spoke about the need for federal help. “We’re out of money now. We are now running a $10-15 billion deficit. We’re out of money now,” Cuomo said. States that were having big problems funding their 6 figure pensions ,teachers unions threatening to go on strike and generous free healthcare and payments to illegals seeking rent assistance before the Covid-19 shut downs, are now seeking a bailout from the Federal government. Poorly managed states like N.Y., California and Illinois are shouting the loudest because they squandered their funds on social justice warrior stuff. McConnel knows what they are trying to pull off here and Trump doesn't have a clue yet, he is actually for it. Quoting: John B 20151341 Maybe I am wrong but aren’t people in NYC forbidden to leave? If they have real food issues it’s a serious matter. Yes, you are Wong my son! |

If they have real food issues it’s a serious matter. Can New Yorkers go outside? Yes. Although New Yorkers are strongly encouraged to stay indoors and public gatherings are limited, they can still go to the grocery store, hospital or doctor’s office, walk their dogs or even head to the laundromat. That’s simply because state officials have determined these activities are essential. Although residents are still allowed to enjoy the outdoors, the governor reminded them to use common sense in maintaining social distance. [link to www.theguardian.com (secure)] |

I texted her last night to check in with her. This is her quote exactly: "All good - almost feels normal and business as usual at this point." In previous conversations she told me they don't watch the local or national news and what I've described to her as being reported out of NYC she hasn't seen at all. Other than it being eerily quiet and fewer people out and about, you would never know there was any kind of emergency going on. They goes for walks in Central Park several times a week and there are man people going on about their business: walking the dogs, jogging, riding bikes, sunbathing, sitting and reading, etc. Jus' sayin' ScoobySleuth |
