WHO Deletes Misleading Tweet That Spread Paranoia About COVID-19 Reinfection
This weekend the World Health Organization (WHO) had to delete a misleading tweet about the coronavirus. Unfortunately, several media outlets had already cited it, spreading unwarranted fear about the likelihood of secondary COVID-19 infections.

Indeed, Bloomberg News reported this story with the headline "WHO Warns You May Catch Coronavirus More Than Once." Here's how the article started:

Catching Covid-19 once may not protect you from getting it again, according to the World Health Organization, a finding that could jeopardize efforts to allow people to return to work after recovering from the virus.

That's just wrong. There is no "finding" to speak of here, just an absence of definitive proof that antibodies confer a degree of immunity. Many readers undoubtedly would come away from these statements with a level of anxiety—You can get it again! We're doomed!—that isn't merited.

From parroting the Chinese communist government's lies about COVID-19 to wrongly warning people against wearing masks, the WHO has badly mishandled its communications about the pandemic. The organization really needs to get its act together.

Re: WHO Deletes Misleading Tweet That Spread Paranoia About COVID-19 Reinfection
The evidence is already there about getting it again. Thousands of people have tested positive again after 50-60-70 days of being declared negative by multiple tests.

They want to hang on to the belief that all of these thousands of people are testing positive again because the original virus reactivated in their bodies rather than because they were exposed again to the virus and caught it a 2nd time.

In any case, the antibodies created by Covid 19 are not effective at all against its return to the body. There is no evidence whatsoever for effective antibodies and all of the evidence thus far shows the antibodies are ineffective at preventing a return of the virus.

WHO is a piece of shit organization. Yesterday they were telling people that countries should have listened to them and followed what they said from early on. The WHO said there was no need to stop travel from China. The WHO said there was evidence for human to human transmission. The WHO has said nothing but lies and BS the whole time.

So much disinfo and wrong info. Including comments posted above about how antibodies are generated and how they work as a component of learned immunity.

Regardless, the deletion was likely done because it conflicts with the narrative of national health cards indicating antibody/vaccine status. The presumption being that the card demonstrates that one has already had the virus and is therefore cleared by the state to go about business without further detention.

If demonstration of antibodies is useless, then the premise for these controls is undermined. Ergo, bury this inconvenient fact.

The science on all of this is still out, IMHO. Good info is being buried for political reasons. Like the ubiquitous and effective use of quinine derivatives which undermine the need for costly vaccines and other state-sponsored invasive interventions. Cant let the public off the hook now. Got to keep them cowering in fear and receptive to draconian freedom-eroding measures.
