Yes. From what I have read, most pandemics usually have 4 waves. The first wave, where we are now; the second wave is usually the worst; the third wave people have their shit together and know how to deal with it; by the fourth wave there is somewhat of herd-immunity and it is not too bad.

As long as they keep using and creating low brow wet markets and bigger corporate food factories these diseases will continue to emerge. You can't properly clean and maintain sanitation in those huge facilities. Everything needs to go back to be sourced locally and regionally in smaller cleaner places. China has zero business owning meat plants here. I don't see how someone from a Chinese nation can actually OWN anything in America at all. I say we take it all back, including the entire city of Palo Alto and the entire San Gabriel Valley. Send um packing. No more scholarships to Stanford, Fuck um all.

On the bright side ... about 1/2 of those dying are older, past the age at which they would have already died of natural causes 100 years ago, so they are NOT economically contributing members of society just consumers of the work being done by others at the time they became ill. (in my state 47% of those who have died have been 80 or older) Those who are still economically contributing members of society have a very low serious sickness /death rate even if they get infected.

In the Spanish Flu outbreak it was those who were the most economically productive members of society who died (mostly those 18 to 35 yo), whereas with this outbreak it is those who are the generally the most economic UNPRODUCTIVE members of society who are dying. A BIG difference in the economic impact of this virus on the overall future economic output of the country compared to how it worked out with the Spanish Flu.

looking at spanish flu historically second wave always worse plus we are going through solar minimum makes things even more dire crop failures food shortages migration etc
