Cygnets first swim

If you have a backyard pool, even a little kiddy pool.. remember to put a large rock or brick on the step. Or anywhere near the edge.
Some kind of platform or floating object.
The reason?

Because when it gets hot, small animals, rodents & birds get thirsty and jump into the pool and CANNOT GET OUT!

The kids get heartbroken to see a chipmunk floating in the water.. hey, just put a large rock in the kiddy pool so that they little swimmers can find a way to jump out.

You will be glad you did.
