Today my local Walmart started limiting meat packages per person

Just go together and pretend not to know each other...

my Walmart never had any shortages of fresh meat or produce during this entire charade. they had a run on the canned goods and toilet paper, but they stayed pretty well stocked on everything else. That's why I don't understand this limitation starting now. I don't see any meat shortages yet. I guess they must be planning on it or something.

I keep a couple of 5 gallons buckets of Ky jelly stocked up just in case of emergencies

no offense man, but why are you buying your meat from walmart? how 'bout support your local farmer, including ranchers with cattle. Farmer's Markets, etc.
Anything but mass-produced factory farming meat.
Have you ever seen the documentary "Food Inc." with Michael Pollan? I think it's free online or on youtube.
Have you researched at all about cargill and the human meat found in their products (and also mcdonalds and other fast food places)? Ever listen to the Rabbi Finkelstein interview where he talks about the human meat? Don't take some random commenters word for it, check out the interview.
NOT saying I agree with veganism, or even vegetarianism, other than our family eats vegetarian a couple days per week. But it's not a lifestyle, so we're not anti-meat at all. In fact we've tried those other diets and we did not thrive on them.

walmart is a CHAIN store that stocks COUNTLESS items made in china. the sooner we stop supporting them, the LESS influence china has on us at all.
all the cashiers and workers? how about they work for LOCAL companies who are making/shipping items Made in the USA instead of working for a Huge chain stores that are shipping in cheaply-made goods from countries that are exploiting them, literally working some of them to Death in some cases....
idk, I think we're all gonna have to start supporting our own country, our own local businesses, our own towns or we will be VULNERABLE again to an attack similar to what is happening to us right now. This is our chance to learn a Valuable Lesson.

I saw this at Costco today. Limit of 3 meat packages of your choosing across beef, pork, and chicken. Last time I go there since they're requiring the mask starting Monday.

Everything's still fine where I live.

I live in the mountains in AZ.

I guess the metropolitan areas are being hit with shortages
more than us it seems.

shop localharvest.org in the US. Put in your zipcode and find a farm near you. Pretty sure there are similar systems in other countries, I just don't have the addresses handy.

because I live in the desert. there are no farmers here and no farmer's markets.

They are limiting purchases because a significant number of people are still looking to stock their freezers at this late stage of the game. That kind of hoarding behavior going into a real supply shortage will cause panic and civil disorder, so take your ration and call the WH if you don't like it.

nothing wrong with walmart steaks and the traffic volume is high so the meat is fresh. low prices. if you want to waste money at whole foods go right ahead, just don't ask taxpayers to bail you out.

Yup, went to Shop Rite in Mt Laurel NJ. Lots of limits.No limits on the processed meat so I got turkey hot dogs, chicken sausage, frozen chicken pieces, etc. Too much salt but I dont want to shop often.

The worst thing was the toilet paper aisle with only individual wrapped rolls and a sign that you can only buy one roll. Tough if you have a few daughters.

You need to go as a family and check out one by one.

Glad that overall we were well prepped before this hit. Trying to save preps for the future and use fresh while it is available.

All stores need to do limits on meat and chicken. We don't need a repeat of the TP fiasco.

Yep, this is going to make people have to shop more often, and since my Walmart cut their hours from 24 down to 13, cut their cashiers from 7 down to 2, and limited the number of customers in the store at one time, they're setting everyone up for outdoor waiting lines.

Sams club N. Edmond OK. down to 25% stock or less on meat.

Most of the store is down to 30% stock. Only one type of rice left in the 25LB burlap bag.

Local grocery store here started that couple weeks ago. Hubby went in got pack of rib eyes containing two to a pack. Checked out went back in and bought another pack. I understand not letting people horde but most families have more than two people.

Every grocery store in my area has shortage. Even Kroger has maybe, 15 or 20% normal supply of meat. No hamburger meat in sight.

I am in Toronto Ontario Canada and I have seen meat being removed from their dept. The vest before and sell dates were well within the norm.

We have some limits on canned goods and sale items.

If any recall over the last 3 years the ridiculous amount of food "recalls for safety" and more recently the bizarre outbreaks and shut down of meat packing plants...and harvests being ploughed under and livestock killed and left to rot. Is there a war on food? Is some agency stocking up their bunkers and DUMBS or is this just another control mechanism?

I am aware "governments" do a lot of stupid seeming things....they are very from from stupid.

Noting they just banned a huge amount of firearms types...

Not that many Canadians are huge gun enthusiasts to begin with,we are all mostly aware criminal commit crimes with unregistered or illegal guns...not responsible gun owners by far.

Something is happening and it seems staged in pahses and well planned out.

New Mexico wal Mart today one package of hamburger 2 of pork chops zero chicken . A few packages of shrimp. Limits on purchasing of 2 . There were 4 hams . I got 1 . Very little hot dogs or bologna.. wow oh wow

It felt like freedom, no different than before the arrows. I don't cower in fear like the run of the mill sheep who need to take direction from their Masters.
