How is that surprising? They are a closed country, where any foreigners that are visiting never get close to the local population.

The fact that you think travel between countries is a common thing shows your ignorance. Secondly, ALL travel to Korea has been completely banned since 21. January. 2. Viruses don't just travel around by themselves. They NEED a carrier. So, yes, if you close the country you will have 0 virus infections. And your last point is again some silly catch phrase you heard on your TV but don't actually understand the meaning.
