It comes from the scientist who won a Nobel prize for discovering HIV. He looked at the genetic structure. I am convinced. It also fits with the clinical data of white cell and lymphocyte counts lowering in an HIV like style.

I would add that all the asymptomatic people testing positive bring me no comfort in thinking most folks get a very mild case if any. What if it lies dormant and flares up later, like AIDS, or shingles from childhood chicken pox. We may not know for years what COVID does.
