No electricity in Nashville for up to two weeks after freak storm.

I really feel bad for everyone who is without a power at a time like this.

Being without power during a lockdown would SUCK!

Mini emp attack..wasn't a storm

Didn't realize emps came with 70 mile an hour winds. They were absolutely howling yesterday for about 12 minutes--thankfully we never lost power but a lot of people did.

The area hit hardest by the tornadoes in East Nashville have also been hit with no electricity.

its rough.

here in central AR, we have been out of power for anywhere from 6-10 days over the last couple weeks depending on where you were located after all these storm systems have come through.

didn't know nashville got hit again.

Oh that is miserable. Those poor people. I hope their power comes back soon. We've been without power for two weeks during a brutal winter storm in the past- it is not fun, especially when it's freezing out- and heat would be a bitch to deal with, too. At least it's getting lighter longer outside instead of the winter darkness by 4 pm.

That brutal storm prompted me to buy a wood stove and a small generator- best things we ever bought. We have used both many times since we purchased them. I highly recommend people to get them both, if you don't have them already. You won't be sorry.

So now comes the weather weapons...food supply stressed...now they want to ruin whatever you have in fridge and freezer

Buy extra grill gas tanks or charcoal.

If your power goes out for extended time, you can cook your meats on the grill and can them

thats exactly the problem we had. had a deep freezer and a fridge/freezer full of food for the "pandemic", then we lost power and almost lost all the food.

luckily our family had a spare generator we used to get them back going in time where nothing thawed.

dunno about a "weather weapon", but it's storm/tornado season here and this happens quite a bit, but now it's just more inconvenient than usual with all the other shit we got going on.

definitely learning some preparation lessons the last month or two to apply in the future.

This was a storm that no one in Nashville has ever seen before.
It was unreal.
I suspect weather weapons and possible emp as well.

Reports from around town today say many grocery stores have lost much inventory and are unable to remain open. Small town grocery stores are full of city folk at the grocery stores.
Last night there were long lines at all open gas stations simply because they were the only thing that had food available.
