They knew about human to human transmission early on and lied about it, silenced whistleblowers in their own country, hired an army of internet trolls to shill the nothing burger narrative, and screamed "racism" when countries talked of closing their borders. China brought this on themselves. Everyone knows a war with China is bad for business. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77566741 Is placing trade tariffs on china good for business? Tariffs are exactly what we need. We used to be an industrial powerhouse, but unions and minimum wage cannot compete with unethical sweatshops in an open market, so production gradually left our country for where it is cheapest. Tariffs would make it more expensive to import stuff from unethical sweatshops. If it is cheaper to produce goods in our own country than it is to import them from other countries, then production will naturally return to our country. Tariffs would make things more expensive, because we would not be getting cheap stuff made in sweatshops anymore, but they would also bring industry back to the country and make us more independent. That is exactly what we need. Cheap shit is nice and all, but dependency on other countries comes back to bite us in the ass in times of crisis... All countries should be as independent as possible. Nations who have declared war on each other don't trade. That means we cold-turkey on all Chinese goods. It will hurt, but will force us to source our manufacturing elsewhere in the world, which means SOME at home. 2. At least a couple decades of hatred toward China by the West. In World War II, it took 25 years before most of the U.S. was somewhat OK with Japan. Not so bad with Germany, because of the cultural similarities. We made up with them quicker, partially because a significant percentage of the country couldn't understand why we were fighting Germany in the first place. 3. A Trump victory. Whatever chance the Dems have in November, it dies if we're in a kinetic war. Trump wins, and doesn't have to worry about reelection in 2024. 4. A LOT of what the Chinese own in America comes back to American ownership. Not like they can take their real estate home to China, after all. Money, companies, other assets. All ours. 5. China no longer gets to be educated in the U.S. No more students. We put them all on a slow boat to...China. 6. It won't go nuclear, because they know they can't beat our missile defenses (if you really have supersonic missiles, you don't tell everyone about them like China and Russia have - it's a bluff) and our retaliation would send them back to the stone age, and the Communist Party loses their power at that point. 7. Nobody here gets blamed for the virus or the economy. The bill is lumped in with the war, and it's charged to China. "Peace in our time? True, but it is expected for corporations to go where it is cheapest. I don't fault the corporations as much as I fault the politicians and controlling elite that allowed it to happen with their idiotic policies. Our government propped up unions and implemented things like minimum wage without coupling those things with necessary tariffs to force production to stay within the country. Honestly, it looks like destruction from within by design. The globalists needed to make all strong independent countries dependent on others before the could move forward with their ambitions for a one world government. Any president who performs as he has during the pandemic would be incredibly bad in a World War. Imagine how he wouldn’t listen to anyone but himself, firing Generals when battles get lost that he was advised against anyway..the kind stuff Hitler did. You may be right, but Americans don't elect challengers during wartime, and when it gets to that point, I think he will look very good to most people, regarding his handling of the pandemic. You really think this country's going to elect Biden, or whoever they put up against him during a war with China? Not likely. "Peace in our time?
