People, we are fucked. Mark my words... we are fucked regarding Covid-19.

I quit my job because I was on a panel to advise local government and companies on how to stop Covid-19 in it's tracks. NO ONE wanted to listen. And I am a Gun toting right-wing nut job.


We are re-opening too soon. I promise you... this is a HUGE MISTAKE!

We didn't even shut things down enough to make that big a difference.

If we had shut down the US COMPLETELY for 3 weeks. Using each states National Guard to handle supplying each areas residents with foods from the US reserve stockpile.

We could have stopped Covid-19 in it's tracks.

But we're just fucking around. And we are going to pay for it dearly. Do not return to "normal" life if you do not have to.

Trump may very likely lose the 2020 Elections because of his decision to not lock the country down completely long enough to allow this shit to simply burn itself out.

What we REALLY need to do is open the schools up for the summer. Even just for a four day week. But get kids with friends and build up the herd immunity and get education and socialization back on track.

And let parents get back to work unencumbered. Maybe a four day week for the summer. Have two crews and overlap on Saturday. Be creative.

NOW OBVIOUSLY, if kids live w Grandma and Grandpa, more complicated. But people can do what's right for them. If they are terrified, STAY HOME.

Thank you. I believe you are 100% correct. This is going to get very ugly. I'm lucky that I work from home and can continue to hunker down but my heart breaks for what is about to happen to the United States as this virus spreads out of control.

Tell that to the children, teenagers, and healthy people with no preexisting conditions who died.

Just because you're more likely to crash your car and die when you drive drunk doesn't mean you can't crash your car and die when you're sober. And you are exponentially more likely to die the longer you drive your car.

The longer we lolligag around not wearing masks, going back to "business as usual" with no restrictions or precautions, the more likely all kinds of people will die, not just old ones or ones with comorbidities.
